8 Best Action Games Ps4 That You Should Know Update 03/2024

Best Action Games Ps4

The PlayStation 4 has a huge number of action games. If we put every title on this list, it would go on and on. So, if you have a PlayStation 4 and want some suggestions for games to play, check out the list below. Here are some of our favourite action video games for the PlayStation 4 that you can buy right now.

Apex Legends

Apex Legends

One of the most popular battle royale games right now was made by the same people who made the popular Titanfall games and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Apex Legends was released in secret, so we didn’t find out about it until the developers were ready to put it on the market, which was a big surprise. It’s a free game that lets you play battle royale with your team. Here is a list of heroes, each with their own special skills, that you can choose from as you work with your team to get rid of all the other players. As with any other battle royale game, there is plenty of loot for players to find all over the map, and as the map gets smaller, the remaining players are forced to get closer together.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

The Assassin’s Creed gameplay changed a bit after the release of Assassin’s Creed Origins, which we’ll talk about next. The maps were much bigger, there were a lot more quests to do, and the fights were a bit more action-packed. Some people liked this change, and it let a lot of new people join the IP, but others might have liked it better if Ubisoft had stuck to the old style of video games. In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, players take on the role of a young man or woman raised as a mercenary in ancient Greece. But this story throws players into a plot that has to do with family history, religion, and a plot. Wrap all of that up in a story about getting revenge, and that’s pretty much Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Assassin’s Creed Origins

Assassin’s Creed Origins & Odyssey

As was said about Assassin’s Creed Origins, this game changed some of the ways you fight and how you play. We had more action combat, and players could switch between a huge number of weapons. This game, on the other hand, took players to ancient Egypt, where they learned how the Assassin’s Brotherhood came to be. When you’re in Egypt, you can look for treasures in the great pyramids and caverns, as well as in the harsh deserts and oasis cities that dot the map. The plot, on the other hand, is about stopping a new group from taking over Egypt, which is what motivates the Assassin’s Brotherhood to keep the people safe and honest.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

At the time that this description was written, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was the most recent game in the Assassin’s Creed series. The game has the same general style as the first two, so you can explore a large open-world map, pick up different items, and fight in action-packed battles. But this time, players step into the Viking age and take on the role of Evior, a warrior who sets out on a journey to grow his or her kingdom. Soon, you find out that the Saxon troops might be your toughest rivals yet. In the meantime, the main character meets up with the well-known Brotherhood, whose goals match up with his own. There are some RPG elements in this game, so you can level up your character with different skills and stats that fit your play style.

Batman Arkham Series

Batman Arkham Series

If you haven’t played the Batman Arkham games, it’s hard to separate these games into their own parts. Rocksteady Studios made Batman games even better, and if you haven’t played any of them yet, you can play the whole series on the PlayStation 4. These are third-person action-adventure games in which you play as Batman and save Gotham from different bad guys who want to cause trouble. In this series, you fight all kinds of famous bad guys along the way. Playing as Batman gives players not only a wide range of high-tech gadgets, but also the skills to fight a group of bad guys with their bare hands. Fans liked how easy it was to learn how to fight, launch a barrage of attacks, and defend against any attacks that came at them. Even though Rocksteady Games is moving on to a new series with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, players should still go back and play the Batman Arkham games.

BioShock Infinite

BioShock was a very popular first-person shooter game with an odd setting, and its sequel was just as popular. But when BioShock Infinite was first shown to the public, fans couldn’t wait to jump into a whole new world. We changed Rapture city from an underwater dystopia to a steampunk city that was able to float above the clouds. Players take on the role of an investigator named Booker DeWitt who has to find a young woman in the early 1900s. When you get to the makeshift floating city of Columbia, you see how backward the society has become, with social classes ruling the people. Like the first two BioShock games, this one was full of action-packed moments where you shot at enemies and even used powers that seemed to come from the supernatural. At the same time, the story is full of turns and twists. Even though this game caused the studio to break up and change its name, it looks like 2K is working on another BioShock game, so BioShock Infinite won’t be the last game in this series.

Bloodborne

Bloodborne

FromSoftware got a lot of fans with the Souls series, and Bloodborne came out only for the PlayStation 4. This was a new IP, but it had the same style of challenging gameplay and dark, gloomy setting as the other Souls games. People from all over the world come to Yharnam, a Gothic city, because of the medical advances there. When our main character goes to get help for his illness, he finds out that the city is doomed because a plague has killed most of the people and turned them into wild animals. The players’ job is to clear out the city and put an end to this terrible pandemic. As was already said, the game is hard, so you have to know when to attack and when to avoid getting hit.

The Last Of Us Part II

The Last of Us, like Final Fantasy VII and Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, changed what video games could do and how they were seen. It was a post-apocalyptic masterpiece with characters who stayed with you long after the credits rolled. Its long-awaited sequel doesn’t bow down to that legacy. Instead, it guts almost everything that people loved about the first game while telling a deeply traumatic and moving revenge story. This story is held together by the amazing motion-captured performances of its diverse cast and the much more dynamic stealth-based gameplay. The Last of Us Part II is hard and controversial in a way that few games are willing to be, and that’s why you can’t miss it.
