When it comes to games that can be played online, Steam has long been at the top of the list. Even though EA is one of the most well-known names in the gaming industry, they could have chosen to sell their games on Steam. Instead, they chose to maximise their profits by selling their games on Origin, which has quickly become a strong rival to Steam. EA’s Origin is an online gaming, digital distribution, and digital rights management (DRM) platform that was launched in 2011. It lets people buy games made by Electronic Arts and download them with the Origin client. Origin also gives its users Origin Access, which is a premium membership that gives members access to all of the games in the Vault Games. It costs $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, and you can get it for those prices. While Origin has a lot of great games, we’ve chosen the best ones for you to check out:
1. Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2
Since the game first came out, Plants vs. Zombies has been one of EA’s best-selling games for a long time. As in the original game, there were plants on one side and zombies on the other. The user had to pot different plants and grow them. The goal of the game was to kill all the zombies. If you haven’t played any of the Garden Warfare games, EA has made them into third-person shooters. While the goal is still the same, to kill all the zombies, the new gameplay makes it feel very different.
A new game called Garden Warfare takes all of the characters from the original Plants vs. Zombies game and places them in a 3D world where the player controls them and fires at the enemies from a third-person perspective, killing them. As long as Garden Warfare was the first one, Garden Warfare 2 was a good step in the right direction for a follow-up. People of any age can play this game, even though the game’s concept and graphics are a little young.
2. The Witcher 3
Because Electronic Arts bought the rights to the Witcher series before Witcher 3 came out, it is one of those rare games where EA didn’t play a role in making the game, but it was still made available on Origin. The Witcher is set in a world that was created by the best-selling Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. It has a lot of action, but it also has a great story.
As a Witcher, you’ve been trained to fight since you were a child, and you’ve been subjected to mutations and tests that have changed you. While the first two games in the series get the user into fights right away, Witcher 3 is an exception to that rule. It appeals to the user from a completely different angle. Witcher 3 won 251 Game of the Year awards, which is the most ever. It had beautiful graphics, epic fights, and more than 100 hours of gameplay, but kept the randomness of a wild, open, and exhilarating fantasy role-playing game. A lot of people like it, and I don’t know why you wouldn’t.
3. The Sims 4
It’s called Sims, and like the name suggests, it’s a game in which the user makes, manages, and controls the lives of tiny computerised people who live in tiny homes. When the first Sims game came out in 2000, it was based on the idea that you could control people’s lives instead of a city (which was the concept of SimCity). It hasn’t turned back since then, and the Sims franchise has grown as big as one could have imagined over the years. Even though it’s a good way to get away from your own life and live someone else’s while having a lot of control over almost everything around you.
There is a new game in the Sims series called The Sims 4. In The Sims 4, the game gets as real as possible. Simulators are about how close the game is to real life. The Sims 4 is one of the most polished and fun games in the series. It has realistic emotions, natural behaviour, and characters that are truly expressive and customizable. DLCs and expansion packs have been released for the game many times since it was released in the fall of 2014. This has made it one of the most popular games of all time!
4. Mass Effect Trilogy
You can get the first three parts of Mass Effect on EA’s Origin service for a very high price. You can get the first three parts of Mass Effect in a premium set. A sci-fi shooter game like Halo would be one of the best of all time, but Mass Effect’s storyline is very different from that of Halo. It’s up to you as Commander Shepard to become the galaxy’s best soldier and lead an all-out war to stop the Reapers, an enemy that has been around for a long time.
Mass Effect, on the other hand, tries to add a tell-tale kind of gameplay interaction to their storyline. This is different from Halo and other sci-fi shooters. As the player responds to conversations and tasks, the story moves at a different pace or moves in a different direction. Mass Effect games have a lot more going for them than just a good story. The whole heart-pounding action gameplay is what keeps the player interested for hours and hours. A lot of people who like FPS games will want to check out the Mass Effect Trilogy. It has over 75 hours of content and more than 300 awards.
5. Battlefield 1
Battlefield was once thought to be the only game that could compete with the popular Call of Duty series. Now, it’s bigger than ever. With the release of Battlefield 1, EA has shown us what the Frostbite Engine is capable of, with multiple storylines and a huge online multiplayer of up to 64 people. This game is mostly known for its massive multiplayer.
The Call of Duty series was slammed for adding nonsensical futuristic features to their games instead of sticking to the realistic warfare that made them famous. When EA made Battlefield 1, they took advantage of the fact that it was set in the World War. They built the game around six different war stories, each with a different type of gameplay. Battlefield 1 is the best game in the series, and the multiplayer is so good that it’s hard to put into words. One of the best FPS games ever made.
6. Titanfall 2
Think of yourself as an expert fighter who has been given control of a huge mechanised fighting robot, like a Transformer. You have to fight all kinds of people, both friendly and not. Sounds good. I mean, that’s what Titanfall is built on, so that makes sense. This is Respawn Entertainment’s best game, Titanfall. The game has become popular with a lot of people because it’s so different from other games.
When the first idea for Titanfall was shown, everyone was expecting something more than what was shown. While the first Titanfall game was all about their 6v6 multiplayer, Titanfall 2 added a campaign mode that reminded fans what they wanted from the game. There are still multiplayer games, but Titanfall 2 adds an interesting storyline and better gameplay. As a rule, sequels don’t always improve on the original version, but Titanfall 2 is one of the few that do.
7. Need for Speed Rivals: Complete Edition
Rivals was an open-world game with the story split in two. You played as both a police officer and a vigilante at the same time. Despite how the story came together, if you preferred one mode over the other, you could keep going on your own. You could play as a cop or a racer.
NFS Rivals came out three years ago, but it’s still one of the best games in the long-running series since the release of Hot Pursuit more than five years ago, especially when you consider how bad 2015’s reboot was. This version of the game that comes with Origin Access has all the DLC packs, as well as special cars like the Koenigsegg One:1 and the Ferrari F50, as well as other things.
