7 Best Transformer Games That You Should Know Update 03/2024

What started out as a toy line soon became a huge business. They have been around since the 1980s, and they’ve gone from a simple toy line to comic books, cartoons, and even a big movie franchise. In this IP, we saw Autobots fight Decepticons. Fans can’t get enough of this one, either. As with other IPs, there are some good games and many bad ones for this one. In the past, we talked about the best Godzilla games, and we made sure to point out that there are a lot of bad ones. That’s true here, too. Our focus isn’t on games that might not have been as popular or fun to play as we should have been. Instead, we’re picking out the best games here. The Transformer games you should check out are on this list. If you haven’t already, check them out now!

Transformers Forged to Fight

Transformers Forged to Fight

The game Transformers: Forged to Fight is available on Android and iOS phones right now, and it’s free to try. It’s a fighting game in which you move around a linear map and fight with a character from the other side. You get some resources, but the main thing is fighting. There are swipes and taps on your screen that you use to fight in the game. This lets your character do things like melee attack, use guns, or become a vehicle. A lot of the people and places from the different Transformer shows or movies are there. So you’ll have a lot of different people to control or fight.

Transformers Prime: The Game

Released in 2012, Transformers Prime: The Game was a game for Nintendo. It was available on every Nintendo platform at the time. For the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U, DS and 3DS, we made games. That was the only thing we made for them. There is no way for you to get help if you were on any other platform. This is a brawler game, and it’s a good one at that. There is a story about the Autobots, who want to stop the Decepticons from awakening an old Transformer called the Thunderwing. Here, players are put into different levels that each feature a different Autobot. It’s a mix of racing and fighting, and there are a lot of different things to do. Find that the game has a good mix of different levels. At times, the game might be a little boring to play because it doesn’t change very often. With that said, this game is based on the Transformers: Prime animated series that ran from 2010 to 2013. You can still play this game even if you don’t know anything about the Transformers: Prime series.

Transformers Animated: The Game

Transformers Animated

Also, the Nintendo DS had a game about the Transformers. It was called Transformers Animated: The Game. An action game that you play alone came out in 2007 and lasted until about 2009. It’s based on the Transformers: Animated series, which ran from 2007 to about 2009. This is more like a new-age Transformers show that people either love or hate. When they made this series, they thought about how young people would be when they saw it. Here, players are going through a section of the animated series that deals with rogue factory robots. This section is based on a set of episodes that deal with this. It’s like a platformer game with side-scrolling levels. Players control three characters, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead, as they move through the levels. With each character in the game, players will have to switch back and forth between them all the time in order to use their different abilities to get to the exit point. Fans of old-school Transformer games might not like this game as much as they used to. It’s been well-received and kid-friendly enough that it sold a lot of units on the Nintendo DS. With that said, it’s a great side-scrolling platform game that brought the iconic Transformers brand to a whole new group of young fans.

Transformers [2004]

It was back in 2004 when we got a Transformers game that was only for the PlayStation 2. Transformers: Armada was an animated show that ran for about a year. This game was based on it. Because this game is based on a Transformers storyline, it doesn’t really matter if you watched the show. It’s a little different from the show that was mentioned, but you don’t need to watch the show to play this game. Here we have another civil war between the Autobots and the Decepticons, where you’ll be controlling different Autobots in different missions as they fight each other off. If you play as these Autobots, you’ll move around and try to destroy the Deceptions. While you can change, the majority of the game is in third-person. You can also find and equip Mini-Cons, which give you more weapons or other things to do. There are up to four of these Mini-Cons that can be used, so you can change up your characters as the game goes on. The fact that this game came out in 2004 shows that it’s been around for a while. It was only playable on the PlayStation 2. There are still some people who are fans of Transformers and haven’t played this game yet. It’s often one of the more recommended games you’ll hear about from other fans.

Transformers: Devastation

Transformers Devastation

Transformers: Devastation is a good game if you like the old-school Transformers cartoon. The cel-shaded view and the upbeat heavy metal music might make some people feel nostalgic about the 1980s, which is when the game was made. This is also a game made by PlatinumGames, and you can tell right away because of how fast and action-packed it is. It’s very “hack and slash,” with players taking on the roles of different Autobots and quickly zipping around to fight enemies. They can also transform into vehicles to do even more crazy moves. If you don’t know who PlatinumGames is, they’re the people who made Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Nier: Automata, and Astral Chain, to name just a few of the games they made. You play as the Autobots, who have to save Earth from a new Decepticon plan to turn the planet into a new Cybertron. The bad news is that this game was taken off of digital storefronts after the licencing deal between Activision and Hasbro came to an end. This is a good thing, because Transformers: Devastation isn’t very rare or pricey right now. Most of the time, you can buy this game for $15 to $30 online.

Beast Wars: Transmetals

In the end, you get bad 3D CGI from the old Transformers show Beast Wars, but you also lose the great writing and humour that the show is known for. I think this is one of the worst Transformers games ever made. Beast Wars: Transmetals was a fighting game that came out at the end of the PS1 and N64 era. It was a moneymaker for the publisher, Takara.

Because Beast Wars didn’t have a lot of characters, Transmetals managed to cut even that in half. The game also has awkward combat that switches between gunplay and hand-to-hand without the player’s permission, making it hard to fight. Unless you want to be a completer, you don’t need to play this game at all.

Transformers: Rise Of The Dark Spark

Transformers Rise Of The Dark Spark

In 2014, when Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark first came out, fans were almost used to playing good Transformers games. This is one of the things that bothered me the most about it. After two good games from High Moon Studios, it started to feel like Transformers gamers were safe.

Because Edge of Reality would be making a game based on the High Moon series as well as the films and the original Generation One continuity, Activision would have to give it to them. This would have been fine, but the game’s story didn’t make sense, and the beautiful level designs of High Moon’s Cybertron were replaced with Earth-based ones that were much less interesting. “Cybertron” was going to be over after this title didn’t get a lot of attention. That was the biggest shame.
