As a result, they have swapped places, but they have also swapped bodies. They go on an odd odyssey as they attempt to get back to their real home, one that finally leads to love between them. Koyomi Aragi, a high school junior with superhuman talents including lightning-quick healing and night vision, is the focus of the anime ‘Bakemonogatari.’ After he was bitten by a vampire, he was left with some of the vampire’s talents. A man named Meme Oshino came to his aid and kept him safe from vampires while also allowing him to have a regular life. Despite his laid-back demeanor, Aragi is a bright but academically challenged adolescent. To save others, he is a selfless person who will risk his own life for the sake of others. Hitagi Senjougahara, a fellow student, accidentally falls down the stairwell and he saves her. Aragi notices that Hitagi’s weightlessness is unusual. He’s aware of the possibility that something paranormal is at play and offers to assist her. We watch Aragi aid others with their supernatural issues and fall in love as the series unfolds. 23. Clannad (2007)
Clonad is a romantic anime that deals with the concept of self-discovery in the context of romance. The show revolves around Tomoya Okazaki, a bored teenager. An adorable and charming love film about a humble rural girl, “Howl no Ugoku Shiro” centres around the protagonist, Sophie. Her father is a hat-maker in the local community. She is once again saved by a lovely wizard named Howl after she puts herself into some sort of trouble. Because of this, the Witch of the Waste casts a spell to age Sophie. She is embarrassed to return to her house, so she goes to Howl for aid. Fortunately, a scarecrow comes to her aid and leads Sophie to Howl’s castle in the sky. A fire demon, Calcifier, agrees to assist Sophie if she can release him from the gorgeous wizard.. 19. Kimi ni Todoke (2009)
The love tale in ‘Kimi ni Todoke’ is intriguing since it defies several common shoujo romance anime tropes. Her peers misunderstand her as a nice high school girl who’s sweet and uncomplicated yet a bit of a jerk. Sawako’s resemblance to the ghost girl from the horror film ‘The Ring’ is the primary cause of this mistake. Among her colleagues, she has been dubbed “Sadako” because of this. As a result of this, Sawako longs to be a regular teenage girl and have a best friend. When she meets Kazehaya Souta, the most popular man in school, she can’t help but be pulled to him. Kazehaya begins to converse with her one day. This makes Sawako very pleased and offers her the false hope of having a good friend and, if possible, a sexual connection as well, which she is delighted about. 18. ReLIFE (2016)
‘ReLIFE’ follows Arata Kaizaki, a 27-year-old guy with no particular purpose in life, as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery. In the eyes of those who know him, he is a failure, and he does nothing to change their minds. He spends the most of his time working in a variety of positions. Ryou Yoake is a girl Arata encounters one day. She claims that if he takes the drug she is selling, he would be able to change his life for the better. Take the tablet, Arata does not give it much attention. When he wakes up the next morning, he discovers that he’s 17 again. Ryou was employed by a medical company called ReLIFE Institute. As a result, Arata has become a test subject for their new medicine. He must attend high school as a transfer student for a year in order to continue testing the substances.
As a fellow student, Ryou has a duty to keep an eye on him. After assuming that his 10 years of experience will make things simple for him, Arata discovers that reality is far from what he had expected. In the last ten years, everything has changed. He has to avoid repeating the mistakes he made as a student now that he’s an adult. The show can be seen here.
17. Koe no Katachi (2016)
For as long as he and his friends could have fun at the expense of other people’s sentiments, Shouya Ishida was a troublemaker. To make light of this, Ishida bullies Shouko Nishimiya as a deaf transfer student when she enrolls in his school. Everyone, including his closest friends, blames Ishida when her mother finally goes to the school officials and complains. After the incident, Nishimiya leaves the school and Ishida is left alone because no one talks to him. During his third year of high school, Ishida has second thoughts about his misdeeds and intends to atone for them by meeting Nishimiya and becoming her buddy. 16. Hotarubi no Mori e (2011)
‘Hotarubi no Mori e’ is always at the top of my list when someone asks what anime film I recommend. Following six-year-old Hotaru as she investigates legends of mountain spirits. She decides to visit the mountain forest while on a summer vacation with her uncle. However, she becomes disoriented and is aided by a spirit named Gin, a humanoid figure with a mask. In spite of Gin’s repeated requests for her not to return, Hotaru does so on each of the remaining days of her summer vacation and vows to visit him again next year.
In time, Hotaru matures, but Gin remains the same as it was before. The two begin to develop feelings for each other. One difficulty stands in the way of Gin’s desire to touch and feel Hotaru. In the event that Gin is ever physically touched by another human, he will cease to exist. Is the improbable romance between the two likely to succeed in the face of these unusual circumstances?
15. Toradora! (2008)
‘Toradora!’ is a romantic comedy anime based on Yuyuko Takemiya’s light novel series of the same name. Ryuuji Takasu, a second-year high school student who longs to be close to his crush Minori, is the focus of the show. During his efforts to win her favor, he runs with Taiga, an apparently kind girl on the outside but an extremely hot-tempered one who may get extremely angry for the simplest of causes. If he helps her with her crush, she eventually agrees to help him. Eventually, the two begin to develop feelings for each other as their efforts to aid each other fail. 14. Kaichō wa Meido-same! (2010)
“Kaich wa Meido-same!” is a romance anime about the student council president Misaki, who strives to keep the school in order and avoid conflicts from arising at all costs! Since the school recently went coed, she has a difficult task on her hands. She may put on a strong exterior, but she’s really hiding something. When Takumi, a handsome young man, learns that Misaki works as a café maid to help support her family, everything changes for her. Is he going to use this to make fun of her? 13. Shōjo Kakumei Utena (1997)
It’s something that Utena Tenjou wishes to achieve. Ever since she was comforted by a prince after the death of her parents, she’d had this peculiar urge. When they first met, he had left her a ring. Anthy and the Rose Bride, Anthy, are on the run from the school’s other magical ring-bearers. With her participation and eventual victory, Utena gains Anthy, marking the beginning of a romantic and ominous adventure. 12. Doukyuusei (2016)
Doukyuusei” tells the touching tale of two young boys falling in love. Rhito Sajou and Hikaru Kusakabe never would have crossed paths if not for fate. Each of the lads is a unique individual. In contrast to Hikaru, who plays guitar in a popular band, and Rhito, an A-level student, who is devoted to his studies. They should never have crossed paths, but when one of them needs to teach another how to play the chorus, they discover a mutual attraction. 11. Rabu★Kon (2007)
Romantic-drama anime based on Aya Nakahara’s manga “Rabu” or “Love Com” Atsushi tani, a short-statured kid, and Risa Koizumi, a tall girl, are the focus of the story. There is no way Rias can resist her attraction to another student in her class when he shows up looking dashing. Atsushi, on the other hand, is interested in another woman. When the two of them resolve to help each other out in their love lives, they find that they are falling in love with one another as a result of that help. Is it possible for the two to admit their feelings for one another in the face of societal pressure?
10. Ore Monogatari! (2015)
In ‘Ore Monogatari!,’ we follow the story of Takeo Goda, a muscular high school student who develops feelings for his closest buddy Makoto despite their differences. 9. Orange (2016)
The story of Naho Takamiya, a high school student, is told through the lens of “Orange.” A letter arrives in the mail, and she discovers it is from her future self. She explains in the letter her regrets and mistakes of the past, and what she has to do to avoid repeating them. 8. Butūmu! (2012)
As the title suggests, ‘Butmu!’ is an action/romance anime about a naïve gamer who becomes stuck in a real-life version of the game they’ve been playing. If he wants to go back to his normal life, he’ll have to kill the other players and obtain a symbol of victory in the form of a green crystal. As luck would have it, he’s never been alone. His in-game wife Himiko is always there to provide a hand. The two begin to form a tight bond as they battle to stay alive in this life-or-death game. 7. Ai Yori Aoshi (2002)
At the train station, Kaoru Hanabishi encounters a female. After realizing she is lost, Kaoru offers to assist her in finding her way back home. In their quest to find the girl’s final destination, Kaoru comes to the startling realization that they are actually going through his own backyard. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the girl was not meant to be going to that particular location. It becomes clear that Kaoru’s childhood friend and fiancee is the mystery woman he invited to his home to solve. 6. Kareshi Kanojo no Jijō (1998)
The lives of Miyazawa and Arima are chronicled in ‘Kareshi Kanojo no Jij’. Miyazawa is a model student in the classroom, always polite and pleasant. On the inside, though, she is conceited and will stop at nothing to achieve her goal of being the best. Arima, a boy who challenges her academically and forces her to take him seriously, enters the picture. Miyazawa is enraged by this. Arima discovers her ruse and exploits her for his own ends. Then Arima’s feelings for Miyazawa are disclosed, and everything changes.
5. Chobits (2002)
the fascinating and thought-provoking subject “Can Humans fall in Love with A.I.?” is the basis of “Chobits.” During his studies, Hideki Motosuwa discovers an abandoned Persocom, a computer that has the appearance of a human being. Because of this flaw, the device can only pronounce Chii and cannot download data. 4. True Tears (2008)
It’s like having a crush on someone who isn’t interested in getting to know you. Shinichiro finds himself in this position, unable to help Hiromi move on from the traumatic events of her childhood, which included the death of both her parents. An quirky girl at school named Noe also develops an interest in him while his parents want him to take dancing lessons which he has no interest in, and he’s not happy about it. 3. Fruits Basket (2019 – 2021)
‘Fruits Basket,’ an anime based on Natsuki Takaya’s manga of the same name, is a romantic comedy. When Tohru’s mother dies, she is forced to live on the streets of Tokyo. Yuki, a fellow student, offers her refuge. Within days, she learns that Yuki’s family is cursed, turning into Chinese zodiac creatures when touched by the other gender. 2. anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (2011)
This is an excellent coming-of-age story: “anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day.” The show follows Jinta, a social recluse who has liked to live alone ever since his friends drifted apart following the death of their friend Meiko. One day Jinta sees the ghost of Meiko, who says she cannot pass to the next world since one of her wishes is left unfulfilled. The story then follows Jinta reviving their old group back in order to fulfill Meiko’s wish so that she can finally find peace. The anime is accessible for streaming on Funimation.
1. Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (2014)
Death often has a life-changing impact on people who get to experience it from close quarters. It inevitably brings gloom and sadness. If it is a loved one who dies, then it seems like the world has come to an end. A similar misfortune happens to the genius pianist Kousei Arima when his mother dies. He feels sad and cannot play the piano. Depression takes over him, and two years pass without him striking a single chord. Fate starts taking a turn when he meets violinist Kaori, who helps him move on and get back into music.
