Kairosoft has a lot of interesting tycoon-style games that have taken over the mobile gaming industry. They have a lot of games now, so it is hard to find “The Best Game” by Kairosoft, and it is close between a few games as well, so I decided to make a list. Game Dev Story – My Favourite Game by Kairosoft

Game Dev Story is a classic Kairosoft game, and I’m pretty sure it’s also one of their most popular games. But it’s popular because it’s so much fun to play. Game Dev Story is my favourite Kairosoft game, and I’ve spent a lot of time with it. I don’t think Kairosoft will be able to topple Game Dev Story with a new game unless they make a sequel that is way better than Game Dev Story. I really wish for a sequel because Kairosoft has made sequels to some of their games in the past but not Game Dev Story for some reason; however they made Social Dev Story which some would consider a sequel, but I do not think it is a sequel It’s a totally different kind of game, but it’s based on the same idea. It’s also way too hard.

Silver Screen Story

Silver Screen Story is just a masterpiece. This game is about making movies, and it’s a lot like Game Dev Story. Fans of Game Dev Story won’t have any trouble getting started with this game, and the idea behind it is really fun. This game is also much easier to play than Game Dev Story. Kairosoft did a wonderful job on this. The idea is great, and it’s easy to get hooked on the game. However, I think this game needs more end content because, after you’ve done everything, it gets kind of boring. Of course, that’s how most tycoon or business management games are made.

Anime Studio Story

Anime Studio Story is such a fun game, and just like Game Dev Story, it should be easy to pick up and play because it is pretty simple and similar to that game. However, the whole idea is different this time: you create Anime and characters for Anime while trying to win awards, except for the Worst Anime of the Year Award, of course. I think everyone underrates this game, and it deserves as much attention as Game Dev Story got. I think Kairosoft should do a better job of marketing their games. Most of the time, I find out about a new Kairosoft game by checking their developer page. It’s like they don’t market their new games at all.

The Manga Works

The Manga Works is about the business side of manga, and I really like how deep this game is. You have to find a good publisher, and as your reputation improves, you get better publishers, more money, more sales, and so on. I would say that this game has the most depth of any Kairosoft Tycoon Game, but it’s still easy to pick up and play for anyone who’s played other Kairosoft games or Tycoon games by other developers. On top of that, I think it’s really addicting. I’ve probably spent 20–30 hours on this game alone. Once you get hooked, you can’t stop until you’ve done everything you can in this game.

Venture Towns

Venture Towns is more of a “City Building and Management” game than a “Tycoon” game, and it’s great. It shows how versatile Kairosoft is and that they can tackle more complicated topics and still make a game with a lot of depth. However, the learning curve for this game is a bit steeper than any other Kairosoft game, so keep that in mind when you play it.

Mega Mall Story 2

In Mega Mall Story 2, you run a shopping mall. The title pretty much tells you what the game is about, and it does have a lot of depth, just like most Kairosoft games. However, the learning curve is much easier than in Venture Towns, so you might want to buy this game if you want to run a mall without actually opening one. You will have to attract customers to your mall, which can be hard at first, but I’m pretty sure you can do it.

Pocket League Soccer 2

If you like football games, this is the perfect one for you. In it, you manage a football team. It’s not as deep as, say, the Football Manager games, but it’s still a great experience when you’re done with them. The main thing you have to learn is how to play the game. You could have the best team in the world, but you’d still lose if your tactics were bad. I’m so glad Kairosoft is no longer using the “Free to Play” method.

Dream Park Story

Dream Park Story is about owning and expanding an amusement park to make it the best one in the world. You will need to build new rides, upgrade old ones, add stalls and restrooms, and manage customer feedback. It’s a great alternative to RollerCoaster Tycoon, and it’s not hard to make money. People will always come to your amusement park, even if it doesn’t have many rides. It’s up to you to build more rides and add more decorations.

The Sushi Spinnery

Have you ever thought about how it would be to run your own sushi restaurant? Well, you don’t have to imagine anymore because Kairosoft has just that in a handy mobile experience you can take with you anywhere. Before free-to-play games took over the mobile gaming world, this was one of the few games you could actually enjoy because it was made to be fun. Not small purchases and “player engagement.”

In the sushi spinnery, you start out as a small shop on the corner of a street. With the goal of becoming Japan’s best sushi restaurant in the next 12 years, you work hard every day to improve your food and your staff. In the beginning, you only have one part-time chef and not many decorations. But as you get more customers, you hire more professionals. You can even add things like pinball machines, chef stations, etc. to the game. In the long run, you’ll be able to hire consultants to help your chefs or bring in new kinds of customers. There are a lot of fun little things to do in this game, and it’s easy to lose an hour or more every day.

Hot Springs Story

In this game, as you might guess from the name, you run a hot spring resort. In particular, a place with hot springs in the Japanese Alps. This game gives you a lot of ways to make money, so bring out your inner businessman. Like other Kairosoft games, your business starts out small but grows into a global powerhouse in the end. You listen to what people say and make changes based on what they say. This brings in even more people.

Plus, over time, guests get to know you and feel comfortable telling you things they usually only tell close friends. The game has a popularity system and a lot of extra things to do. You can choose between rooms with traditional tatami floors or rooms with western floors. You also have the chance to persuade publishers of guidebooks to put the name of your resort in the most popular ones in Japan.
