Attack On Titan – Every Main Character’s That You Should Know Update 04/2024

Jean Kirstein- Attack On Titan

Attack On Titan is one of the best-known anime series of the previous decade. Here are some fundamental things fans should know about the main characters.

Attack on Titan is critically praised and one of the most popular anime series of all time. Based on the book by Hajime Isayama, the Attack on Titan anime started in 2013 and is expected to launch into its last season in the beginning of 2022.

In the story’s world, huge man-eating humanoid beings called Titans attack humanity. To survive, human civilisation takes sanctuary inside cities enclosed by three gigantic walls that shield them from the Titans. This civilisation fights back against the Titans with grappling hooks and keen swords, which allow the military to swing around their adversaries and slice apart their necks, killing them.

Both the anime and the manga follow Eren Yeager, along with his friends and comrades Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert, who are a part of the Survey Corps branch of the military. Other prominent characters include leaders such as Levi Ackerman, Erwin Smith, and Hange Zoe. Zeke Yeager, Eren’s half-brother, is eventually introduced to all of these characters (who is not a part of the Survey Corps).

There are a number of excellent characters introduced in Attack on Titan that have had a lasting impact on the franchise’s fandom. Here are the ages, heights, and birthdays of these characters.

Even though spoilers will be kept to a minimum, they will not be fully eliminated. If you’re not familiar with the anime, keep that in mind.

Mark Sammut made the following update on January 10th, 2022: It’s time for the second part of Attack on Titan: The Final Season. the anime adaptation of hajime isawyama’s shonen manga finally ends after nearly 10 years of episodes and has been an unbelievable trip. Fans have encountered a wide range of characters, some of whom soon became anime icons, while others came and went without making much of an impact on the public consciousness. As a result, even the most minor characters in Attack on Titan’s cast have a significant impact on the show’s overall story. A few more Attack on Titan characters have been added to this site in honor of the past, present and future.

Attack On Titan Statistics Chart

The cast of characters in Attack on Titan is so large that this list has grown to more than 20 entries. Each character’s age, birthday, and height are listed in the following table to make the information as accessible as possible.

Except where noted, all data is based on the character’s situation in the year 850, the time period covered by Attack on Titan. Those who made their public debut after that date will only have their first appearance used. Because Attack on Titan has not specified the actual age of each character, we will provide estimations when appropriate. The N/A option will be used in other circumstances.

1. Eren Yeager

Eren Yeager - Attack On Titan

Attack on Titan’s main protagonist, Eren Yeager, is introduced as a rather clear character in the beginning of the series. As Eren watches helplessly as a Titan devours his mother in the anime’s pilot, the youngster pledges to annihilate every Titan who has ever stepped foot on Earth. Eren joins the 104th Training Corps and subsequently the Survey Corps in order to accomplish this goal.

Attack on Titan’s third season sees Eren grow into a much more complex character, as the anime progresses.

2. Mikasa Ackerman

In the anime, Mikasa Ackerman, Eren’s right-hand man, is always by his side. Mikasa is one of the last surviving members of the Ackerman clan, which makes her a target. She is strong, brave in the face of Titans, and quiet. After her parents were murdered at the age of nine, traffickers threatened to abduct the daughter if Eren didn’t intervene. Mikasa reciprocated the favor right away.

Eren’s boisterous and straightforward demeanor is reflected in Mikasa’s personality, which is shaped by their connection.

3. Armin Arlert

Armin arlert

Armin Arlert, together with Eren and Mikasa, completes the central trio of Attack on Titan. Aside from season 3, Armin’s strategic and analytic abilities begin to peek through.

In contrast to Eren’s outspokenness, Armin is a more measured presence who can serve as a steadying influence.

4. Levi Ackerman

Levi Ackerman

Levi, the Survey Corps’ greatest fighter and squad leader, is one of the anime’s most beloved characters. Levi isn’t afraid to risk everything for the sake of protecting human life, even if it means facing an army of Titans. Even beyond Titans, Levi harbors a ferocious animus toward serial killer Kenny Ackerman.

Levi is a blood-soaked soldier who carries the weight of the world on his shoulders since he understands that most others are incapable of doing so.

5. Erwin Smith

However, Erwin Smith, the 13th and current commander of the Survey Corps, throws a big shadow over a large portion of the anime’s plot. Levi and Hange Zo hold Erwin in high regard, but he battles internally with his desire to learn more about the world and his responsibility to protect humanity’s future.

6. Reiner Braun

Reiner initially appears to be a big brother to Eren and his friends, but he soon discloses a horrible secret. Reiner, a spy sent to infiltrate humanity, joins the Survey Corps in an effort to find the Founding Titan.

There are few moments in Attack on Titan that can compare to Reiner’s revelation, which came as a complete surprise to the whole anime community and was executed with such finesse. It was Reiner’s dual life that resulted in him developing a variety of psychiatric issues.

7. Bertolt Hoover

Bertolt Hoover

It’s easy to overlook Reiner’s sidekick Bertolt in Attack on Titan’s first season because of his quiet demeanor. The more it is revealed that Bertolt is the Colossal Titan, the more aggressive and less conflicted he becomes.

Bertolt, while being considered a villain by Eren and the other characters, rarely doubts that his acts are right.

8. Zeke Yeager

Introducing Zeke, Eren’s half-brother and leader of Marley’s Warriors. Not even Marley can trust Zeke, as he is driven by a desire to exterminate the descendants of Ymir Fritz, which is why he is loyal to Marley.

Anyone who stands in Zeke’s way, whether in his Beast Titan or non-Beast Titan form, will be doomed to defeat.

9. Hange Zoë

Hange Zoe From Attack On Titan

It’s hard to argue that Hange Zo isn’t one of the best minor characters in Attack on Titan, despite her lack of development. He is mysterious and alluring, whether he’s delivering some much-needed comic relief early on in the anime or showing a propensity to commit atrocities for a better good.

Hange and Levi formed a close friendship during their time in the Survey Corps, where they worked together. They become a more serious and dismal figure as the novel goes on, mirroring their increasingly dominant role in Attack on Titan.

10. Historia Reiss/Krista Lenz

Historia’s upbringing was characterized by loneliness and self-loathing because she was the only surviving member of the Reiss royal bloodline. After the murder of her mother, Historia took the alias Krista Lenz and entered in the military, where she would meet her demise.

When she met Ymir, Historia began to feel more secure about herself, and she eventually began the journey to restore her identity.

11. Annie Leonhart

Annie, the primary antagonist in the first season of Attack on Titan, was a member of the Survey Corps alongside Reiner and Bertolt. The series’ unpredictability is one of its biggest draws. Early events such as Eren’s “death” and Annie’s revelation as the Female Titan helped to emphasize this dimension from the beginning.

When Marley’s Warriors selected Annie as one of their own, she was tasked with rescuing the Founding Titan from behind the Walls.

12. Jean Kirstein

Jean Kirstein- Attack On Titan

Even though Jean isn’t like the majority of people, she does join the military in order to get a job with the Military Police Brigade, which would provide some level of safety and security. Since both Jean and Eren have a tendency to let their emotions run wild, they frequently conflict as the book’s antagonist in the early chapters.

Jean originally appears to be a disposable character in Attack on Titan, but as the show progresses, she develops into a well-rounded character. He even assumes a role of leadership.

13. Connie Springer

At first glance, Connie is a pleasant addition to the 104th Training Corps. When he joins the military, Connie, a friendly and accessible guy, doesn’t have any lofty or heroic goals. He just wants to get into the Military Police Brigade.

Similarly to Jean, Connie is encouraged to take this opportunity more seriously by the likes of Eren, something that is firmly established when he confronts the Titans.

14. Ymir

Ymir’s life has been full of twists and turns. Ymir’s cynical and bitter appearance in the 104th Training Corps isn’t just an act; he’s been through hell and back. Born in Marley, Ymir had no identity until she was adopted by a cult and used as an object of devotion.

While she was tormented, Ymir was deceived, and left to die; despite this, she became a Titan and spent the next 60 years roaming the desolate landscape as one. Having returned to human form in 845, she found herself in the military five years later.

15. Sasha Blouse

Sasha Blouse

Originally a hunter from a small village in Attack on Titan, Sasha, the series’ resident eater, is always on the lookout for anything to eat. Sasha has trouble adjusting to military life due to her lack of exposure to people beyond the Walls and her strict upbringing.

Sasha’s warmth and primordial simplicity allow her to stand out in a positive way in a universe full of haunting, dark, and broken individuals.

16. Marco Bott

One of the show’s lesser-known protagonists, Marco brings a sense of normalcy to the series’ early episodes. Because of his empathic nature and tendency to see the best in people, Marco contributes significantly to the cohesiveness of the 104th Training Corps. For the most part, Marco is the driving force behind Jean’s rapid development over the course of a year.

Even though Marco’s time on the show is limited, he makes the most of it whenever he has the chance.

17. Floch Forster

Floch, although being a relatively small character, has a significant transformation in Attack on Titan. A veteran of the Scout Regiment, Floch was there during several bloody battles such as the Battle of Shiganshina District and the Battle of Ypres. A major supporter of Erwin, Floch campaigned hard to rescue the commander over Armin when only one of them could receive the Titan injection, which Floch strongly supported. There have been times in the character’s life when he’s had no one he could attach his hopes and dreams to. For a time, Floch supported Erwin, but later changed his allegiance to Eren.

Floch evolves from being a minor character in Attack on Titan: The Final Season to a major antagonist who wholeheartedly supports Eren’s aim to wipe off the Titans outside of Paradis Island.

18. Petra Ral

A member of Levi’s Special Operations Squad, Petra Ral was instrumental in helping the gang and Eren form a close relationship. Even though Petra is a minor character, her pleasant and warm nature provides a counterpoint to Levi’s directness; without her, the Special Operations Squad would not function as effectively.

The cast of Attack on Titan is so large that certain characters, like Petra, get lost in the mix. In spite of this, she is one of those characters who lends a little of heart and normalcy to the anime.

19. Dot Pyxis

Dot Pyxis

While Dot Pyxis is primarily a supporting character in Attack on Titan, she never feels out of place when given the opportunity to take on a more significant role. As a teacher and battle mentor to the 104th Cadet Corps, the officer played an important role in the Battle of Trost District.

On and off the battlefield, Dot’s capacity to remain cool in the face of tragedy and disaster is his most valuable skill. Dot is a logical thinker who can examine an issue and come up with a solution that is both practical and kind.

20. Kenny Ackerman

Season 3 of Attack on Titan switches things up by focusing on a human-versus-human war instead of a Titan one. Kenny, Levi’s uncle and a ruthless killer, is for the power of the Founding Titan.

Kenny has a brutality to his deeds that puts him on a par with the Titans in terms of sheer terror; he actually seems to relish killing. The arc of Kenny’s journey sets the stage for many disclosures about the true history of the Walls and Titans, both in terms of plot and character development.

21. Gabi Braun

Born in Marley, where it has long been assumed that everyone from Paradis Island was a demon, Gabi is presented as Eren’s reflection. Gabi’s outspoken personality and hard-headedness make her a tough character to adore, however this changes slightly in the War for Paradis storyline.

Gabi’s sudden appearance in the final chapters of Attack on Titan provides a unique twist.

22. Porco Galliard

Porco, like Gabi, is introduced at the start of Season 4 of Attack on Titan. Following the death of Ymir, Porco was chosen as a Marley’s Warrior and assumed the duty of the Jaw Titan.

Porco, who is overconfident in his own abilities, frequently gets into arguments with his other Warriors, and his relationship with Reiner is particularly tumultuous. Even though Porco isn’t given much screen time in the anime, the character’s combative demeanor and combat prowess nonetheless stand out.

23. Pieck Finger

Another member of Marley’s Warriors, Pieck is the most likeable of the gang because of her laid-back and humble demeanor. Pieck’s tactical approach to warfare reflects her duty as a support member of her squad as the Cart Titan.

When the going gets bad, Pieck isn’t the kind of person you’d expect to be friendly. She is ready and eager to do everything it takes to keep her fellow soldiers and the people she cares about safe.

24. Colt Grice

Colt, one of Marley’s Warrior prospects, is slated to assume the job of Beast Titan once Zeke’s term is over. With his excellent tactical mind, Colt has made himself invaluable to Marley’s cause, even if he is an Eldian, despite that fact.

Part 1 of Attack on Titan’s season 4 only features intermittent appearances by Colt; however, the second half of the season is expected to feature more appearances by Colt.

25. Falco Grice

In comparison to Gabi and his brother Colt, Falco often gets overlooked. There are no Marley Warriors in Falco, and the boy lacks the strength to be a combatant, but that doesn’t stop him from taking a stand when necessary.

In his dealings with Kruger, Falco shows that he is both bold and naive. As a character introduced in season 4’s perspective shift, Falco fulfills a crucial narrative role.

26. Ymir Fritz

Ymir Fritz, one of the most pivotal characters in Attack on Titan’s history, laid the groundwork for many of the story’s major moments. The fact remains that we know very little personal information about Ymir, including her life story and career accomplishments.

Ymir ascended to Titanic power around a millennium before the events of the anime. Eldia’s king exploited this ability, resulting in Marley’s demise. Thirteen years after gaining her abilities, Ymir died, and the Nine Titans were passed down from one generation to the next. Ymir is a tragic figure, a man who was made into a weapon and now must live with the weight of a blood-stained heritage.
