We found other shows that had a similar tone to Owari No Seraph. Supernatural action anime with the same themes, characters, and popularity as all of these shows are excellent. Without further ado, here are six other worthwhile anime like Owari No Seraph for those who enjoyed it.

1. Bleach

Bleach

There are 366 episodes available for viewing.

From October 2004 to March 2012, the show was on the air.

A typical high school student, Ichigo Kurosaki has no idea that supernatural beings exist in real life. However, his life drastically changes when he comes face to face with a so-called Hollow – a spirit that devours human souls. Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper, appears when Ichigo can’t believe his eyes and doesn’t know what to do. She tries to protect Ichigo and his family. Ichigo agrees to Rukia’s proposal to take her powers and become a Soul Reaper after she is seriously injured in order to fight the Hollow and protect his family! And that’s the end of Ichigo’s days as an average high schooler.

Bleach and Owari No Seraph are both supernaturally-themed action series. Both shows have a brash protagonist who is driven to defend those close to him or her. Additionally, both shows have a strong focus on families. As a result of Ichigo’s mother’s death when he was young, he has always had a strong desire to protect his sisters and father, despite his pride. Yuu grew up in an orphanage with his siblings, so he, like Ichigo, had a strong desire to protect and never have to see his loved ones in danger again. Both shows feature weapons imbued with spirits that can be powered up and become stronger, which is another similarity between them.

Despite this, the most striking similarity between Bleach and Owari No Seraph is how Ichigo and Yuu began their journeys alone, only to find themselves surrounded by people who wanted to help them. For example, the bond between Guren and Yuu can be seen in Urahara’s relationship with Ichigo. Owari No Seraph fans will enjoy Bleach, and the reverse is also true.

2. 07-Ghost

07-Ghost

There are a total of 25 episodes.

The show aired from April to September of 2009.

As a member of the Barsburg Empire’s Military Academy, Teito Klein possesses a special power known as “Zaiphon,” which develops in line with the character’s personality. In spite of his great potential, Teito is despised by his classmates because he was once a slave and has no recollection of his own past. They gradually become best friends because only one other person—Mikage Celestine—even attempts to befriend him in spite of his rudeness.

Teito comes face-to-face with a dark chapter from his past one day. Trying to assassinate Teito’s father’s killer, Ayanami, a high-ranking official, Teito is caught and imprisoned. Teito will end up in 7th District Church, where the bishops will take him in because Mikage wants to help him. Teito’s journey to uncover the truth about his past and his role in the shift in the world’s destiny will begin at that point.

Both 07-ghost and Owari No Seraph begin with the same premise: two orphans, one of whom was a slave in a previous lifetime. Both of them were devastated and vowed vengeance, so their lives revolved around it. Neither of them wanted anything more than to live happily ever after with their closest friends. But when that dream was shattered, they were forced to adjust to a new environment and accept the fact that things had gone horribly wrong with little hope of getting them back on track.

While there is no direct comparison between the two shows, there is an overarching theme of military service in both, with Guren’s relationship with Yuu mirroring Frau’s with Teito. Aside from their playful taunts, Guren and Frau genuinely care about Yuu and Teito, and their relationship with them resembles that of a brotherly one. We’re at a loss for words. Teito and Yuu are very similar in that they don’t want to make friends but are constantly surrounded by them. The similarities between Owari No Seraph and 07-ghost are obvious, so chances are you’ll enjoy both.

3. Koutetsujou No Kabaneri (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress)

Koutetsujou no Kabaneri (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress)

There are twelve episodes in this season.

Aired from April to July of this year.

On the island of Hinomoto, residents have constructed fortifications to protect themselves from Kabane, a type of zombie that can infect humans with a bite and turn them into. Kabane can only be killed by piercing their iron-protected hearts. The plot of this story revolves around Ikoma, a young man who contributes to the construction of the steam-powered locomotive Hayajiro and invents his own weapon to fight Kabane. So when he found out from Mumei that the station was under attack he bolted out of the station to show the world that Kabane can be defeated with his “Tsuranukizutsu.”

Vampires and Kabane – which are essentially zombies – threaten mankind in Owari No Seraph and Koutetsujou No Kabaneri. It is Yuu and Ikoma, the two protagonists, who are fed up with their surroundings and want to struggle and change things up, and say to the rest of the world not to give up on you.

Even more shocking is the fact that Yuu’s family, the Mikaelas, as well as Ikoma, who were once human but are now vampires or Kabane hybrids, all survived the infection by some miracle. As a result, both of them are only half as powerful as the monsters they’re up against. Anime like Owari No Seraph and Koutetsujou No Kabaneri deal with themes of humanity’s fall and the courage it takes for people to fight back and reclaim what was lost. The similarities between Koutetsujou No Kabaneri and Owari No Seraph, despite the latter’s focus on horror, are undeniable.

4. God Eater

God Eater

There are thirteen episodes in this season.

From July 2015 to March 2016, this show was on the air.

The year is 2071, and a race of monsters known as “Aragami” is on the verge of eradicating humanity. As a result, a group known as Fenrir was formed with the goal of fighting the Aragami and saving humanity. In order to defeat Aragami, Fenrir must rely on the so-called “God Eaters,” humans who are equipped with the so-called “God Arcs,” the only weapons capable of doing so. As one of the most promising God Eaters, Lenka Utsugi must use all of his strength to finally defeat Aragami.

With this plot, it’s as obvious as day that Owari No Seraph and God Eater have a lot in common. To begin, these are both supernatural action anime series. The human race is pitted against monsters in Owari No Seraph and God Eater, thanks to two allies: Fenrir in the case of God Eater and the Imperial Demon Army in Owari No Seraph. Both shows have post-apocalyptic and dystopic settings, with a small group of survivors trying to outwit the other side.

Even God Eaters’ weaponry resembles Owari No Seraph’s demon weapon, which is shaped on a single fighter, just as the God Arcs used by the God Eaters are unique and shaped on a single fighter. While Lenka and Yuu do not share the same personality, they both have a strong desire to save and protect those around them. If you liked the beautiful fights in Owari No Seraph and the main theme of humanity trying to be free again, we believe that God Eater is what you’re looking for! Probably, God Eater has a more serious quality to it, as the comedy parts are almost nonexistent.

5. Ao No Exorcist (Blue Exorcist)

Ao No Exorcist (Blue Exorcist)

There are a total of 25 episodes.

From April to October 2011, the show was on air.

Rin Okumura is both a troublemaker and a normal teen. It doesn’t take him long to start a fight, he doesn’t care about school, and he has a perfect twin brother named Yukio in contrast to him. A cruel turn of events, on the other hand, permanently alters Rin’s course in life. He finds out he’s the son of Satan, after all. Unfortunately, it appears as if things are about to get a whole lot worse for Rin now that Satan wants his son back and needs her help in taking over the human world. No matter how low he may fall, Rin will not let his guard down. With his brother Yukio by his side, he will fight to protect Assiah!

There are many similarities between these two anime, even in terms of characters. Let’s start at the beginning; in both shows, we find protagonists who have been abandoned by their families. Fujimoto, the man who raised Rin and Yukio, dies, while Yuu and Mika are split up when they are young. There is an uncanny resemblance between Rin and Yuu that is fascinating to observe. They’re both brash, self-assured, and prone to getting into mischief. Both of them initially find it difficult to deal with a classmate who bears striking resemblance to them.

Suguro Ryu and Kimizuki Shi are the subjects of our discussion. This is akin to how Suguro suddenly turns competitive against Rin, and this is akin to how Kimizuki suddenly turns competitive against Yuu. Both Owari No Seraph and Ao No Exorcist begin with a school setting, and Rin, like Yuu, is befriended by a large number of people despite his character. Both Mika and Yukio are smitten with their brothers, but they are keeping something from each other. The supernatural action animes Owari No Seraph and Ao No Exorcist have a lot in common, so we’re confident you’ll enjoy Ao No Exorcist.

6. Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul

There are a total of 24 episodes.

shown between July 2014 and march 2015

Tokyo has evolved into a spooky metropolis inhabited by ghouls – creatures that feed on living beings. Ghouls can blend in with the population, waiting for an opportunity to strike. As a bookworm in the heartless city of Tokyo, Ken Kaneki is head over heels in love with Rize Kamishiro, a girl who appears to be another bookworm. When Rize approaches Ken one day and makes a date proposal, Ken’s life takes a dramatic turn for the better. Rize is a ghoul who tries to eat Ken but fails when something goes wrong. Ken, who was on the verge of passing away, is saved by Rize and, in an unfortunate turn of events, has some of Rize’s body parts implanted during the surgery. The way he transforms into a half-ghoul is through this process.

Owari No Seraph and Tokyo Ghoul have a lot in common despite the fact that Tokyo Ghoul has a stronger horror element to it. Starting with their shared background as orphans, the two main characters share many similarities. Hide and Mika are friends to both Ken and Yuu and are like family to them. Both shows feature human characters engaged in conflict with members of an alien race. Despite Ken’s distaste for ghouls, both men end up becoming one.

Mika, on the other hand, who despises vampires, becomes one. This leads to the main characters despising half of who they are while still trying to do what is best for them and their close friends. Hide needs to be protected from both Ghouls and humans, and that’s why Kaneki and Mika are working together with Yuu. It’s heartbreaking for both characters to have to deal with the loss of their friends and colleagues. As a result, both Ken and Yuu decide that they must become stronger in order to save humanity at all costs. The personalities of Ken and Yuu are poles apart, but they both share a desire to fight to the death for a better tomorrow. Don’t let the lack of a comedy scene deter you from watching Tokyo Ghoul; it is well worth your time… and tears!

Tokyo Ghoul was the final chapter in this ranking. All of these shows have a lot in common with Owari No Seraph. There are a slew of other anime that have some resemblance to Owari No Seraph, but we chose these six because they seemed the closest in terms of characters and themes. Owari No Seraph is a story about friendship, love, and humanity’s struggle to reclaim its freedom. You should watch these six anime if you like Owari No Seraph and want something that can make you feel emotional while also giving you just the right amount of action.
