When Tanjiro, a human, discovers that demons live among the humans, the story of Demon Slayer begins. Tanjiro’s life is peaceful for the most part until his sister is possessed by a demon. Tanjiro is willing to risk everything to get her back to her old self, and he embarks on an incredible journey on which a slew of other people join him as well, each with their own set of goals.

15. The Promised Neverland

While we’re on the subject of Demons, we’ve got yet another masterpiece that fans of Hunter x Hunter will adore. If you like Hunter x Hunter’s Chimera Ant arc, you’ll enjoy Promised Neverland. It’s a little darker, however, and there’s no way for kids to defend themselves against Demons who treat them like livestock.

An orphanage run by a sister takes care of Emma, who lives happily among the other children. Children are frequently placed with adoptive families when they are found to be unwanted. There’s nothing they’ve been told is true when Emma goes to say her goodbyes to her sister. The children are eaten by demons instead of being placed with new families. There is no way out for Emma, so she and her allies must devise a plan to keep everyone alive.
