People frequently say things like “you’ll find your perfect match someday,” and it’s easy to see why. That special someone will appear out of nowhere one day. You never know when you’ll meet someone special – it could be today, tomorrow, or the day after. Supposedly your soul mate may turn out to be nothing like what you expected, and that’s a very real possibility. Over the years, we’ve seen a slew of romantic comedies, but few of them have felt particularly relevant to our lives. However, ‘A Walk To Remember’ will go down in history as one of the most memorable love stories ever. The movie is based on Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling novel of the same name. We were all seduced by the film’s sweetness, innocence, and sincerity. After falling in love with a spoiled rich brat and rebellious guy, the happy-go-lucky girl transforms into this wonderful, considerate and genuine man. Despite the fact that the girl has a terminal illness, this doesn’t stop these two from falling in love like there’s no tomorrow.

10. Shakespeare in Love (1998)
What would the love story of one of English literature’s most celebrated playwrights be like? I agree that Shakespeare in Love brings this image to life. Gwyneth Paltrow and Joseph Fiennes star as Shakespeare and Viola de Lesseps, respectively. The film, while a work of fiction, features characters and plot points that are loosely based on those found in William Shakespeare’s plays. When the Romeo and Juliet auditions begin, Viola assumes the identity of Thomas Kent. Immediately after learning that Viola is a woman, Shakespeare declares his undying love for her. Viola, on the other hand, is engaged to be married to Lord Wessex and is unable to avoid her responsibilities as a result. The two have to part ways, and Shakespeare uses Viola as an inspiration for his subsequent work, ‘Twelfth Night.’ In addition to the compelling story, Paltrow’s performance elevates this film to the status of a timeless love story. Paltrow won best actress and best supporting actress for her work in the film, which took home seven Academy Awards in total.
9. Blue Valentine (2010)
You can rely on us to make you cry with our selection of the best Oscar moments. This film, starring Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling, explores the idea that no matter how hard you try, love will not always stand the test of time and obstacles. In the aftermath of Cindy (Williams) breaking up with Bobby, Dean (Gosling) meets her. The baby is Bobby’s, but Dean is happy to start a family with Cindy and accept the child as his own. Nevertheless, after five years, the couple realizes that their union is tormenting them and is on the verge of breaking up completely. Cindy, a doctor, loses her job because of Dean’s alcoholism, and he and she decide to part ways. The best thing about the film is that it employs a narrative method that disrupts the status quo by switching between the past and the present to show how a once-deeply in love couple grew apart. When a relationship ends, it’s heartbreaking no matter how many happy memories you have of the two of you. This is exactly what ‘Blue Valentine’ does to you, and it leaves you with questions in the end.
8. If Only (2004)
In the romantic fantasy film If Only, a British-American cast including Jennifer Love Hewitt, Paul Nicholis, Tom Wilkinson, and others shines in their roles. Overall, this is a moving film.

When it comes to dealing with the loss of loved ones, P.S. I Love You tackles a sensitive and genuine subject. Hilary Swank portrays Holly Kennedy, a widow who receives letters from her deceased husband that fill her with courage, positivity, and hope. The whole concept excites her and makes her eagerly anticipate the next opportunity to collect another portion of the letter. Her late husband makes sure she’s not alone and somehow manages to help her go out there and get back with her life as he would have liked to see her. This is a gut-wrenching, yet incredibly moving and inspiring attempt at documentary filmmaking.
