10 Disney Characters As Anime That You Should Know Update 03/2024

Disney Characters As Anime

These ten Disney princesses have been completely recreated in anime style, which is already prevalent among many of the Disney princesses.

With their small noses and wide eyes, many Disney princesses already resemble anime characters. However, it’s only a tiny deviation from the anime aesthetic in these works of fan art. In spite of Disney’s departure from 2D animation many years ago, fan artists continue to use the form. Because so many Disney fans enjoy anime, the two have frequently been blended. Rapunzel and Elsa, two popular Disney princesses whose films don’t follow the traditional 2D approach, are extremely popular among fans who prefer to depict them in 2D.

Here are some fantastic anime-inspired fan art renditions of some of Disney’s most renowned princesses. Please take a moment to visit the websites of the artists whose work you admire.

1. Elsa

Elsa

Is Elsa a princess now that she has relinquished her throne in Frozen 2? Despite this, she was continuously marketed as a Disney princess, even after becoming Queen. After all, she’s one of the most well-known Disney princesses today, if not the most well-known.

This art was done by Ayasal, who is very talented when it comes to anime style. Check out their portfolio for more Disney princess anime fan art, including Elsa! Personifications of several zodiac constellations and Overwatch’s Mei have also been done by these artists.

2. Belle

This picture of Belle’s expression has us swooning. This experience is nothing short of a thrill. The presence of Beast in this photograph is noteworthy. His cartoon persona has been reimagined as a man-elf instead of a beast. Even if a character is a monster, anime often keeps them looking good-looking if they are a key character.

DuckLordEthan is the brains behind this design. He’s done a lot more than just Disney fan art in the anime style. Shrek, Adventure Time, Star Wars, and many more of his creations have been animated in an anime manner.

3. Merida

Merida

It took eight hours to complete, according to the artist runawaywithyou. The animation of Merida’s hair alone took two hours, which is understandable given how frequently it is used in the animation of the character. In Brave, the animators put in a great deal of time and effort into each individual hair.

It’s not just this picture that the artist makes; he’s done fan art for Harry Potter and The Legend of Zelda, among other things.

4.Snow White

Ayasal, the artist who created Elsa, created this piece as well. We like some of the artist’s creative liberties in this design. Even better than in the picture, Snow White’s long hair and gown are stunning. Having her animal companions with her adds an extra layer of sweetness to the scene. In her lap, the bunnies are very adorable.

5. Schoolgirl Anna And Elsa

Schoolgirl Anna And Elsa

Because anime schoolgirls are popular, there is no shortage of fan art depicting Disney characters dressed as schoolgirls. This piece was created primarily with markers, colored pencils, gel pens, and erasers, as opposed to many of the other pieces on this list. If you can create something like this without the use of a computer, you’ve got some serious talent.

A lot of anime characters and commissions are drawn by SilverChaim, the artist for this piece.

6. Mulan

DuckLordEthan, the artist behind the anime Belle fan art, created this. As with Beast, he also included Mulan’s prince, Shang, in his list of characters. Many people have pointed out that Shang from Avatar: The Last Airbender looks very much like Shang.

We adore how Mulan’s life is represented in this artwork in two different ways. While she is expected to be a proper lady in one role, she also plays a role in the Huns as a warrior by taking up her father’s sword. Shang appears to be mulling over her two appearances, which is a nice touch.

7. Princess Magical Girls

Princess Magical Girls

The magical girl genre is one of the most popular in anime. Sailor Moon, Princess Tutu, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Tokyo Mew Mew, and Pretty Cure are just a few examples of this type of anime. These shows frequently feature teenage female protagonists who are transformed into crime-fighting superheroes by means of special effects scenes.

Such cute designs by cherrycheezy! We adore the Disney-inspired clothing and magical weapons, which perfectly complement the stories and characters they’re based on.

8. Aurora

This piece’s fairies were the real stars.

While we’re big fans of anime Aurora, the artist went all out with her guardian fairies. Anime such as Monster Rancher, Sword Art Online, Berserk and Shaman King are more reminiscent of their clothes, wings and even their age.

DuckLordEthan, the artist who drew the anime Belle and Mulan on this list, comes back to draw this one. In addition to Snow White, Ariel, and Jasmine in his anime collection, you can also see his interpretations of them. Non-princess characters such as Lilo and Stitch, Peter Pan, and Wendy have all been portrayed by him.

9. Jasmine

Jasmine

Fans may watch a speedpaint of this by the artist, HiroSenpaiArt, on YouTube. Dragon Ball Z, Fairy Tail, Naruto, Kill la Kill, and a slew of more anime fan favorites may be found in their gallery.

This piece of fan art beautifully captures the thrill of the carpet ride in the Disney film. The gold light emitted by the carpet is stunning, as is Jasmine’s expression.

10. Ariel

According to the creator of this piece, their aesthetic was inspired by “’90s anime style.” The artist is actually a pair of sister artists who go by the name of kgfantasy and share a single Instagram account. For characters from My Little Pony, Sailor Moon, Winx Club, Fire Emblem, The Legend of Zelda, and many others, they have drawn fan art for them. ” Fan art for other Disney princesses, such as Ariel, can be found here.
