In the same way as “The Hangover,” this comedy can win its audience in raw humor and unlikely and unbelievable situations. “21 & Over” is not only original and creative but has a good cast.
2. How to be Single
“How to be single” revolves around a group of young adults in the city who never sleep. Some are looking for a hook-up, some are looking for a serious connection. This is an entertaining romantic comedy with fresh scripts and good performances. While the Rom-com formula follows, “how to be a single person” isn’t evident as we don’t know what will happen at the end. Moreover, it has many laughing moments and is not that cheesy and stereotypical. Dakota Johnson, Leslie Mann, Alisson Brie and Rebel Wilson are the stars.
3. Trainwreck
The comedy, nominated for two Golden Globes (including Best Motion Picture- Comedy or Music), is a young woman who does not think monogamy is realistic. Amy Townsend gets frequently drunk and stoned but she must rethink her perspective and lifestyle when she meets a “good guy.” “Trainwreck” is delightful, funny and honest. But the best part of the film is that this film tries to keep room for Hollywood’s model-looking actors. Amy Schumer and her cast are challenging this. The characters are therefore even more related.
4. Pitch Perfect
“Pitch Perfect” is a music and college comedy. Beca is a freshman from Barden University who is convinced to join the Barden Bellas Acapella group of all girls. Its independent style helps the acapella group to find a new sound and compete. In their characters, actresses Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow and Rebel Wilson shine. In addition, the script is funny, engaging and targeted at young musicians.
5. Freaky Friday
An outdated mother (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her daughter (Lindsay Lohan) don’t get along with each other. How could mother and daughter unite more than bodies switch? “Freaky Friday” manages to capture both the happy and the frustrating times the whole relationship between mother and daughter perfectly. There are many things that keep your eyes on the screen: the chemical system between Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, the ups and downs and the unavoidable awkward/funny moments from your new mother’s new life or coming back to school. Curious fact: this is indeed a remake of the classic show of 1976 with the same name.

Looking for a way to say goodbye to memories of their infancy, they’re celebrating one last (and epic) party. Starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, this comedy will be especially enjoyed by fans of comedy. “Sisters” create an interesting and intriguing atmosphere by balancing drama and comedy. After a week’s taking has been robbed, pot dealer David is forced to go to Mexico by his boss to take a lot of marijuana. David asks the stripper and two local teenagers to join him to improve his chances of passing through the borders to pretend to be on a family vacation. The great comedy with Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis and Emma Roberts is ‘We are the Millers.’ The film has an interesting script that keeps you entertained for 109 minutes. The unusual story, together with subtle one-lines and witty remarks, makes this after a second watch extremely funny and even better!
9. Fun Mom Dinner
This is a smart comedy with a brilliant cast and a fascinating story. “Fun Mom Dinner” follows an assembly of moms whodecide to have a dinner with one another. At first, they think they only have their pre-school children in common, but soon they realize that’s not true. The characters are friendly and funny, the soundtrack hits many 80s and has a good balance between comedy and theater. Annie (Kristen Wiig) is the honorary maid whose life is unleashing as she leads Lillian (Maya Rudolph), her best friend, and a wild group of brides (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Ellie Kemper) to wedding. “Bridesmaids” is an incredibly talented film that challenges formula films and stereotypes. Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo have managed to write a funny comedy about a competition between an honorary servant and a bridesmaid, who is the best friend of the bride.
11. Mom’s Night Out
Allyson and her friends decide they’re worth a peaceful, grown up night. However, to do so, their husbands must watch out for their children for a few hours and that could be… challenging. “Mom’s Night Out” is a fun family film, mainly for moms and dads like “Bad Moms.” The characters are interesting and pleasant and the performances are excellent. Be aware, however, that this is a Christian film.
12. A Bad Moms Christmas
“A Bad Moms Christmas” is followed by our “Bad Moms” favorite characters who try to create the perfect vacation, host and entertain their own mothers when they drop in the Christmas season. This film is entertaining and funny while focusing on unreal expectations mothers have for the life of their children. Like the first, the cast is excellent and mothers and daughters can relate to the jokes.
13. The House Bunny

“The House Bunny” 2008’s about a Playboy bunny named Shelley Darlingson (Anna Faris), who has been expelled out of Hef’s mansion, finds herself destitute. She naturally determines that her next step is to become a sorority house mother—but she won’t have any of the cool ones. So Shelley joins the Zeta Alpha Zetas, a house full of unpleasant and unfitting academics.
Faris glows like a smooth but heart-filled blonde bombshell, and the cast is similarly upsetting. Nerdy Natalie (Emma Stone), Mona (Kat Dennings), Joanne (Rumer Willies) and Katharine McPhee (Hardly Pregnant Harmony) are totally unstoppable. When Shelley takes the young women under her wing, she learns from them and from them. “The House Bunny” blends a stunning amount of sarcasm with its bubbling comedy, resulting in a film with as much heart as mood.
14. Someone Great
Gina Rodrígez is the star of Someone Great in 2019 as Jenny Young, a journalist who deals with two major changes in life: the breakup of her long-term relationship and a major work opportunity requiring a cross-country move. Looking to mourn and celebrate, she invites her pals Blair (Bretagne Snow) and Erin (DeWanda Wise) for a day (and night) full of fun in New York City.
“Someone Great” is a little less raucous than previous entries on this list but makes up for an immense heart’s relatively somber tone. Alissa Wilkinson termed it “a hopeful break-up movie” in her review of Vox. We agree and want to add that there are also strong women’s friendships that might resist change and personal progress. “Someone Great” boasts a magnificent Rodriguez turn: “The movie is based in the actress of Gina Rodriguez, who loses the person of her hacker, ‘Jane the Virgin,’ to portray a more frazzled romantic lead in his review for The Atlantic.”
15. The Hustle
We know that many of the films on this list involve Rebel Wilson, but you need to give it — she portrays oddballs off the wall really effectively. Wilson stars as Penny Rust in 2019’s ‘The Hustle,’ a con artist with very basic tactics and who enters into contact with Josephine Chesterfield, the more developed criminal played by Anne Hathaway. The women team up for a massive con, just to become bogged down.
The joy of this film is the discrepancy between the two main characters. This mismatched duo is the ultimate strange couple. It is sheer fun to watch the elegant Josephine train rambunctious Penny. Although critics did not care about the picture, moviegoers certainly did, and we are prepared to bet you will. Just like “Girls Trip,” this picture doesn’t take it too seriously and gives the cast plenty of scope to giggle around. “The Hustle” also features sumptuous clothing and amazing setting – always in our books a bonus.
16. The Other Woman
In 2014’s “The Other Woman” in Diaz Cameron, a lawyer who knows that her new lover Mark King (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is married, played Carly Whitten, in one of the final parts she took on her retiring. And he’s not just seeing Amber, a third woman (we don’t know why it doesn’t call “The Other Women”). Carly works along with Mark’s wife, Kate (Leslie Mann) and Amber (Kate Upton), in usual romantic fashion.
This flick of vengeance (with Nicki Minaj’s performance in a minor, strangeness-filled supporting role) gives just what spectators expect from it. It’s hardly Diaz’s best work, but it’s a pleasant little comedy that makes you giggle. Notably, his new connection with Carly is full of charm for Taylor Kinney, who plays Kate’s brother Phil. It is a beautiful contrast to the branches that the women pull on their target.
17. The Heat
Melissa McCarthy initially came together with director Paul Feig, and delivered us “Bridesmaids.” The second time they delivered us The Heat, a 2013 hysterical buddy comedy which matches McCarthy and Sandra Bullock. (Don’t sleep on the other collaborations of Feig and McCarthy, either ‘Spy’ or ‘Ghostbusters’) McCarthy and Bullock play Shannon Mullins, a large-minded Boston police officer and a larger tongue, and Sarah Ashburn, a strong, assertive FBI agent. The women had to work together on a narcotics case, which naturally prompts them as well as the genuine villagers to fight one other.
This woman is enjoyable on the buddy cop’s formula. But the it works so well is due to the fact that McCarthy and Bullock are hilarious gold mines and chemistry off the charts. “The only two reasons to watch ‘The Heat’ are, Peter Travers said in his review of Rolling Stone. But they are great ones, and they go by the names of Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy.” There are no other causes for this.
