7 Best Place To Buy Anime Figures That You Should Know Update 04/2024

Best Place To Buy Anime Figures

In the beginning, I had no idea where to start. For the most part, I had no idea where to acquire anime figures in the United States. Considering that I had many of the same issues as a newbie, I decided to put together a comprehensive guide on buying anime figurines.

In addition to anime figurines, we’ve written a piece about the best places to buy anime statues, and if you’re a manga fan, be sure to check out our list of the best places to buy manga!

If you want to know what I’m into, I’m currently a big fan of resin statues, Nendoroid figurines and WCFs. As my collection has grown, I’ve had to shop from a number of sources.

First, I’d like to point out that online marketplaces like eBay and Amazon are rife with figures that aren’t real. These sites should be avoided unless you know how to identify counterfeits and what signals to look out for, or you are purchasing directly from the manufacturer, the seller, or Amazon itself.

You can also check out the online stores I’ve had good experiences with in terms of selection, customer service, and shipping/preordering policies, all of which have their merits and downsides!

Where to Buy Anime Figures in the US

1. Tokyo Otaku Mode

My primary source for anime collectibles is Tokyo Otaku Mode. You can earn TOM Points, which you can use toward future purchases on the site, exclusive discounts, birthday coupons, and other perks, by signing up for their TOM Premium membership, which has no expiration date. With the subscription, you also enjoy a 10% discount on delivery. They have the greatest membership program of all the anime figure stores and websites on this list, in my view.

When ordering from Tokyo Otaku Mode, bear in mind that your order will be shipped from two different warehouses: one in Japan and one in the United States. Be sure to check the Shopping Cart portion of their website to see where your things are shipping from before you check out so you know exactly where your items are coming from, as stated on their website. Shipment costs will be affected as a result.

Buying from a site that ships from the United States will save you money on shipping, but if your things are coming from a Japanese warehouse, your shipping may be more expensive. However, if you have a TOM membership, you may be able to make up for the difference in shipping costs by saving money on anime figures. Even though they ship from Japan, I’ve found that their shipping costs are often much lower than I expected.

Additionally, if your order totals $150 or more, you’ll receive free shipping on a selection of items, but only after all discounts and coupons have been applied. To learn more about the deals they have available, visit their website.

On top of that, they provide a large range of products that you won’t find on the other sites on this list, such anime figures, art books, and plushies. Additionally, compared to other sites, their preorders go live faster.

As a whole, they’re my first pick for purchasing anime figures, and I’ve had nothing but positive experiences doing business with them thus far. They provide a wide range, fast shipping, reasonable rates, and the best advantages I’ve found in a membership program thus far.

2. Right Stuf Anime

One of the best places to get figures and anime-related merchandise is Right Stuf. If you’re looking to stock up on manga, this is a wonderful spot to do it as well.

There are a few things to keep in mind when placing an order with Right Stuf. If you place an order that includes both in-stock and backordered items, your order will be held until all of your backordered items are ready to ship. As a result, if you’re looking for a specific item straight away, you’ll need to think about this.

Preorders are not eligible for free delivery, only in-stock items, regardless of whether you meet the $75 US economy shipping level or the $250 Canadian economy shipping criteria. Unfortunately, even if you fulfill the minimum purchase requirement, you will not be able to get free delivery on many of Right Stuf’s merchandise, including most anime figures. Many times, I’ve decided to buy a figure elsewhere because they exclude a lot of items from free delivery.

Shipment costs vary based on your location and how much weight you are shipping if you don’t qualify for free shipping. The Izuku Midoriya King of Artist Ver My Hero Academia Prize Figure costs $9.03, whereas US shipping for one manga volume is $4.99.

The Right Stuf Birthday Sale and the Right Stuf Holiday Sale, which begin on Black Friday, are two of the best times to shop at Right Stuf. As a subscriber, I appreciate the fact that they send out emails informing me of these exceptional offers. Over the years, I’ve never seen a business operate a better offer than this one.

Their reward program includes something called “Stuf Bucks,” which can be redeemed for future purchases after a campaign has ended, as long as it is within the pre-determined redemption period, according to their website, and is earned during special promotions. For an additional $18 a year, you can become a member of Got Anime? and receive even greater savings on the merchandise they sell on their website.

3. Galactic Toys

At a convention, I first heard about Galactic Toys and was eager to check out their display. In addition to the quality of their shipping and customer service, I’ve purchased from them many times since and have always had a positive experience.

You will always be required to pay for postage when making a purchase from them because they do not have a free shipping threshold. In addition, they occasionally sell figures at their marked-up resell value, which some may find objectionable; nonetheless, I find it to be a plus in some ways. Though they may be priced higher than they would be on other sites, anime figures can be found for sale here that you wouldn’t find elsewhere.

For example, I paid a greater amount for the Jiraiya Nendoroid, which was an exclusive at the convention. That doesn’t bother me because it saved me from having to buy from Ebay and ensured that the item was coming from a trustworthy seller.

Buying from them has a few advantages, like the fact that they occasionally provide discounts and exclusive Funko products. Since many of those exclusives have been anime-related, I make it a point to check back regularly to see what’s new..

When purchasing preorders from them, here are some things to keep in mind:

All preorders are automatically billed to your credit card.

Unless all of the products in your order are now available, they will not ship until they are.

For a 20% cancellation fee, you can cancel a pre-order.

While they offer a wide variety of products to choose from in terms of anime figurines, they also have a variety of other products, such as Gunpla, that you can purchase as well.

4. Nakama Toys

We discovered Nakama Toys while in Chicago and they have an online store as well. One year, we went to their Chicago storefront and had a great time. The proprietors are really wonderful people.

Nakama Toys is one of my favorite toy companies because they are also anime enthusiasts and provide excellent customer service. They also have a fantastic selection. Additionally, they sell a wide range of Gunpla, in addition to the many kinds of anime collectibles.

When ordering from Nakama Toys, keep in mind that preorders are charged in full at the time of placement, and once they are put, you will not be able to cancel them regardless of the exception.

They offer an incentive program, which is a positive. They claim that at 500 points, you get $5.00, at 1000 points you get $10.00, and at 2500 points you get $25.00. You can use the points you earn either online or in person.

5. BigBadToyStore

When it comes to purchasing certain anime figures, I always turn to BigBadToyStore. You may find rare collectibles such as WCFs and high-end anime statuette brands like Figurama and Prime 1 Studio here. Because their prices are higher and their shipping durations are around a month or even months longer than those of other sites, I rarely buy anime figures from them when they are available for purchase elsewhere.

However, there are some advantages to purchasing from them over other sites. To start, you will only be charged when your item is ready to ship. For preorders, some sites like Right Stuf will charge you right away. It’s worth noting, though, that they’ve begun accepting non-refundable deposits for more pricey figures from manufacturers like Megahouse.

A “Pile of Loot” shipping option is another perk of doing business with them. In order to get your items, you must send your “Pile of Loot” orders before their cut-off delivery date. However, given that their prices are typically greater than those on other sites, the shipping savings you obtain aren’t all that significant.

If you realize you no longer want an item or you purchased it hastily, canceling is a simple process. Instead of contacting Crunchyroll’s customer service via email, you can cancel directly from your account by clicking on a button. Keep in mind, however, that cancellations of in-stock items will appear on your account as a BBTS credit, so keep that in mind when doing so, and that you will not receive your deposit back if you cancel.

6. Crunchyroll

You can save money by purchasing from Crunchyroll if you already have a Premium Plus Membership. Free domestic shipping on all orders, a 5% discount on most figures, and more are just some of the goodies you’ll get. Additional benefits include access to their streaming service if you’re not already familiar.

In order to receive free US shipping, you must spend $100 or more, which is more than most retailers require for free shipping. Other retailers don’t offer free delivery for anime figurines, thus this is a bonus for those who prefer to buy their collectibles online.

When you place an order for a product ahead of time, you will be charged right away. Email support is required if you wish to cancel your order, although it’s easy to do so, which isn’t always possible on other sites. While other sites allow you to cancel with a single click, Crunchyroll requires that you contact their customer service to do so.

One advantage is that, in my experience, they offer some of the most affordable prices around. If you sign up for their email list, you’ll be the first to know about their sales. Additionally, they provide a wide choice of anime-related products, merchandise, and comics to choose from, including PVC scale figures, Nendoroids, and various other anime-related things.

Crunchyroll’s shipping time may be a drawback to purchasing from the site. Because their in-stock times appear to be statistically behind those of the other sites on this list, they may not be the best choice if you need something right away.

7. Good Smile US

Nendoroids can now be purchased and shipped to the United States thanks to a new website created by Good Smile Company. Good Smile is the finest location to buy Nendoroids and figmas because they create them. Check out all the Nendoroids that have been announced for 2022 so far!

If you preorder figures from their website, you may be eligible for a “preorder bonus,” which is a free toy or item. If you preorder Tatsuya Shiba from The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc’s Nendoroid, you’ll get a distinctive circular base, for instance When you buy straight from them, you’ll often get something extra, even if it’s only a few cents extra.

Creating a free account with them allows you to receive a 50 percent discount on shipping for all pre-orders. Even if their delivery costs are a bit high, I’ve discovered that they’re still cheaper than other specialty shops because their pricing are lower than most other online retailers. As a result, if you plan to purchase from Good Smile, you should preorder as much as possible.

Some of the Good Smile-exclusive figures, including Nendoroid Izuku Midoriya: Costume or Mako Mankanshoku, Fight Club-Spec Two-Star Goku Uniform Version, can also be found on their website. In conjunction with conventions, they’ll release limited edition figures like these, which you can purchase directly from their website.

I’ve ordered a number of Nendoroid models from Good Smile Company US, and I’ve had no difficulties with their delivery or customer support. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend checking out the website!
