There are new actors and a better picture quality, but the heartwarming story is kept intact. The British drama first aired late last year in Europe before coming to America in January.

A reviewer for Decider praised All Creatures Great and Small when it first aired in the U.S., writing that it was the “most escapist bit of television you can find in January 2021.” She added, “All Creatures Great and Small takes modern viewers back to the idyllic farmlands of pre-World War II England, where nothing good is ever taken for granted and nothing bad can’t be solved with a word of kindness.”
