Naofumi, like Jotaro Kujo, is tough on his foes and kind to his allies with a gruff voice. He’d go far in Tokyo Ghoul with this kind of mentality. To survive the waves in Melromarc, he must also be able to navigate Tokyo’s ghostly streets.

3. Avatar Korra, The Tough Peacemaker (The Legend Of Korra)

No ordinary Waterbender can compare to Avatar Korra. With her fierce but gentle demeanor, Korra is perfectly suited to the role of global peacemaker and protector. As a hero, she is both courageous and compassionate, and no one is safe from her wrath.

Rize Kamishiro’s organs would be a harsh awakening for Korra, but even as a ghoul, Korra wouldn’t give up hope. She, like Ken, would work tirelessly to find a middle ground between the human and ghoul worlds. She’s like a more feisty Ken, if you will.

4. Yuji Itadori, Bearer Of Sukuna’s Spirit (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Some similarities can be drawn between Yuji Itadori and Ken. He was just a regular guy until he suddenly gained dark, supernatural powers, and now he must struggle to maintain a healthy balance between his human and monster sides while continuously consuming Sukuna’s energies through those fingers.. Like Ken, Yuji isn’t going to let his terrible abilities define who he is.

Tokyo Ghoul’s early episodes/chapters would benefit from Yuji Kaneki’s gung-ho attitude and martial arts prowess, making him a more exciting half-ghoul hero than Ken Kaneki.

5. Yasutora “Chad” Sado, Ichigo’s Brawny Friend (Bleach)

Although Chad has a rugged and powerful body, he used to be a boorish bully in his youth, throwing people around in order to express his anger. Then he realized the true meaning of strength and utilized his body to protect others from harm without retaliating. Though he’s become something of an avowed pacifist, he’s always ready to battle the Arrancars with his bare fists if necessary.

When it comes to admiring and understanding power, Chad is a gentle giant. In the same way that Ken Kaneki tried to unify the ghoul and human worlds, he too would endeavor to do so. As a result of his intelligent approach to strength and responsibility, Chad is more likable than Ken. He exemplifies the phrase “powerful and silent.”

6. Erza Scarlet, The S-Ranked Wizard (Fairy Tail)

A Tokyo Ghoul protagonist should be tough, brave, and kind all at the same time. In order to maintain calm in the streets, they’d have to be tough enough to exist in a ghoulish environment. Though Erza Scarlet prefers her swords to a kagune, she falls under the same category (ghoulish appendage).

Once awakened, Erza would use her newfound power to bring order to Tokyo’s bloodied streets, acting as a protective older sister figure to weaker ghouls like Hinami in the process. Erza has no fear of conflict. If she had to, she could even take on the ultimate CCG investigator, Kisho Arima.

7. Nezuko Kamado, The Friendly Demon (Demon Slayer)

She is Tanjiro Kamado’s younger sister and has previously shown that she will not allow herself to become a monster, even if she has dark and superhuman strength. After Muzan Kibutsuji’s transformation, Nezuko vowed never to harm another human being again, no matter how hungry she is. That, my friend, is commendable.

Assuming Nezuko were to be born in the same era as Ken Kaneki, it’s safe to say that her story would have followed a similar trajectory. Even if it meant feeding her macabre appetite, she wouldn’t harm humanity. Instead, she vowed to defend the weak and defenseless. In a way, she’s like Erza’s sister.

8. Itsuka Kendo, Class 1-B’s Rep (My Hero Academia)

Itsuka Kendo, the class representative of U.A.’s class 1-B, should be able to use Rize Kamishiro’s ghoul powers responsibly if Erza Scarlet, the big sister peacemaker, can. Her world’s Erza, a tough yet kind young lady who never hesitates to protect her comrades from grave danger. Itsuka A lot of people admire her for that precise reason.

While protecting Hinami and her mother, Itsuka would use Rize’s ghoul powers properly and become a vigilante ghoul who murders the most vicious ghouls. To keep the streets safe, she’d undoubtedly organize an entire group of ghouls to serve as a vigilante force.
