As the crime series Luther demonstrates, Idris Elba is an incredibly gifted actor. The show has undertones of Mindhunter running through it, with a brilliant detective having an unlikely and unnerving friendship with a killer.

When it comes to Dark, nothing compares to what you might expect. It’s a long way from the formula ofCriminal Minds, but it somehow fits like a glove on this list. Maybe it’s because of the heinous crimes that have been committed. Maybe it’s the on-going and unrelenting feeling of gloom.
