The movie “The Giver” is based on Lois Lowry’s classic novel of the same name. Everyone is content in this tale, and everything is ideal. On his 18th birthday, Jonas is elected to serve as the community’s Receiver of Memories, a position he assumes with honor. An old man named “The Giver,” who will reveal to Jonas memories of the “real” world that the community has been hiding, will train him.
