Top 10 Other Anime Character’s D&D Classes Update 03/2024

d&d anime characters

Every Anime character has his or her own special skills and abilities, which are unique to that character. Are there any specific D&D classes that would be appropriate for these characters?

Dungeons & Dragons can be seen in numerous anime and manga, especially those set in a fantasy world. In spite of the fact that the stories they tell may not always overlap, it is evident that they have taken inspiration from each other.

Players of D&D can learn a lot from the stories told in anime, just as Dungeon Masters can do the same for their own adventures. Many of the most well-known and intriguing characters could serve as excellent models for the creation of new characters by these creators.

1. Naruto Would Be A High-Level Monk

Naruto Uzumaki

Despite the common misconception that ninjas are rogues, the capabilities displayed by Naruto’s shinobi and kunoichi are more like those of a D&D monk. Even the chakra they employ is remarkably similar to the ki in use in the classic role-playing game.

Naruto Uzumaki, a formidable shinobi, would make an outstanding monk in any D&D campaign and would be an excellent inspiration for anyone creating their martial-arts character.

2. Madoka Kaname Made A Warlock Pact

Madoka Magica is a complete deconstruction of the magical girl subgenre, and it does it without wasting any time in upsetting any preconceived notions. Madoka’s life spirals out of control when she meets Kyubey, a mysterious entity.

Kyubey offers Madoka the chance to acquire magical powers if she signs a contract with him. Exactly like a Warlock in D&D, Madoka has no idea what she’s getting herself into with this decision.

3. Guts Is The Epitome Of A Fighter

Sagittarius -Guts

Berserk’s Guts is the best example of an anime character who embodies the archetypal “Fighter” character. Any number of D&D adventurers could be inspired by his appearance and abilities.

Guts also had some impressive stats, as can be shown. Furthermore, his sharp intelligence has helped him conquer a number of his adversaries. Guts chose the Champion subclass based on his martial prowess, which is a given.

4. Inosuke Is A Demon Slaying Barbarian

Many anime and manga characters use their wrath as a source of strength, yet it is not enough to be a barbarian. Inosuke from Demon Slayer is the perfect example of a barbarian, a fierce warrior who fights with an unsurpassed ferocity in the wild.

Inosuke is not only a wild boar who was bred in the woods, but he also knows how to rage. The fan-favorite boar-headed Demon Slayer is an ideal Barbarian because of his unwavering desire to be the best in all he does.

5. Ashitaka, The Ranger Beastmaster

Ashitaka

Hayao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke protagonist, Ashitaka of the Emishi, makes for an ideal Ranger. In addition to his mastery of the bow, he also rides a massive serow, indicating that he has made the right choice in following the road taken by the Beastmasters.

Princess Mononoke, the film’s protagonist and the film’s title character, might also be a great Ranger, but her origins as a wolf-breeding Druid definitely give her an edge.

6. Akame Is An Assassin Rogue

Some of the characters in anime are more suitable for role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons than others. Akame from Akame Ga Kill, on the other hand, would be an ideal Rogue.

Not only is she an expert swordsman, she can also take out some of the most strong foes with a single strike. If that doesn’t sum up a Rogue’s ability to sneak attack, nothing does.

7. The Fullmetal Alchemist Makes A Fine Wizard

Edward Elric

Anime is overflowing with wizards of all stripes, and any one of them would make a fantastic D&D Wizard model. Edward Elric, from Fullmetal Alchemist, is one of the best.

It’s easy to compare how Alchemy in the show works with how magic works in D&D; there are even parallels between spell components and Transmutation Circles. But Edward has the advantage because he converted his own arm into a Spell Focus, giving him an advantage over his opponents.

8. Clare Has Taken A Paladin Oath

Clare from Claymore, the anime about a Paladin in D&D, is one of the few people who has what it takes to combat evil like a Paladin. Her journey will be made easier by the fact that she possesses a few special abilities.

The Claymore’s devotion to the aim of wiping out the Yoma is very much in line with the Oaths that Paladins would swear. When it comes to class, she fits right in with the others because of her cool exterior and fiery heart.

9. Mimosa Vermillion Is An Unorthodox Druid

Mimosa Vermillion

The Druid class in D&D is one of many magic-users in manga and anime that rely on the power of nature. One such figure is Mimosa Vermillion from Black Cover, a book whose premise seems implausible at best.

Her plant-based magic is fed by the mana of the earth itself, but her healing and creation magics are also typical of the types Druids use in Dungeons and Dragons.. There’s no doubt in my mind that this young noblewoman’s magic is linked to the natural world because she acquired it from Dryad;

10. Priestess Is Literally A Cleric

Goblin Slayer is an anime version of a D&D adventure. It’s no wonder, then, that the game’s characters follow the same archetypes as those from the tabletop game.

Even the equipment she uses is directly out of the Player’s Handbook for the Priestess’ Miracles. The Cleric class has never met a foe quite like her.
