1. Wayne’s World 2 (1993)

3. Deep Blue Sea (1999)

Deep Blue Sea is a wacky film in the vein of other wacky films. It’s billed as a sci-fi horror film, and it follows a team of scientists working on a project to study sharks in the hopes of finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. All of this is but a prelude to the mayhem that awaits these characters.

The facility and its employees are attacked by sharks that have been genetically modified, making for an exciting trip. The cast features Samuel L. Jackson, LL Cool J, and Saffron Burrows, who is famed for being eaten by a shark in a classic scene. It has become a cult classic, inspiring two unanticipated sequels, released in 2018 and 2020, respectively.

4. Romeo + Juliet (1996)

Leonardo DiCaprio played as Romeo Montague in this reimagining of the famous William Shakespeare play a year before he became a household name thanks to Titanic. Everyone has heard the story of the young lovers caught between two feuding clans.

The same was true in 1996, thus Romeo + Juliet had a lot of work to do to feel unique or creative. Only filmmaker Baz Luhrmann’s innovative visual stylings were enough to set it out as something new. Not to mention the on-screen chemistry between DiCaprio and Danes.

The charismatic Harrison Ford was still at the helm of Air Force One, which was a far cry from films like Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The President of the United States’ official plane goes by the callsign “Air Force One”. When terrorists seized the jet, Ford’s character, President James Marshall, stepped in to save everyone on board. William H. Macy and Glenn Close round out the star-studded ensemble.

Julia Roberts reigned supreme as the leading lady of the romantic comedy genre for many years. A close second to 1997’s My Best Friend’s Wedding is the universally acclaimedPretty Woman. After discovering that her best friend is engaged to be married to someone else, food critic Julianne Potter (Roberts) confronts her feelings for him. There is nothing groundbreaking about the concept, but this film does it in a way that is so enjoyable. Cameron Diaz made a name for herself in this film as well.

7. Any Given Sunday (1999)

Some elements of a superb sporting film are taken for granted. There are recurring themes and tropes that can be observed in most of them. However, Any Given Sunday focuses more on the character drama than the game moments.

On any given Sunday, the players, coaches, and administration of a professional football team are the focus of Any Given Sunday. Great actors, like Al Pacino and Cameron Diaz; Dennis Quaid; Jamie Foxx; LL Cool J; and even real-life football hero Lawrence Taylor, are on hand to lend their talents to the film. In addition, it has one of the greatest sports speeches ever delivered.

8. The Rock (1996)

In recent years, the director Michael Bay’s name has been associated with negative connotations. A good example of his style is theTransformers film series, which is well-known for its enormous explosions and action without much regard for the story. Louis (Pitt) and Lestat (Cruise) have a complicated relationship in Interview with the Vampire, which begins with Lestat turning Louis (Pitt). A young girl (Dunst) is also turned into a vampire at that time. All of this takes place in the present day, with Louis acting as if he’s conducting the interview.

10. Blade (1998)

As soon as Marvel announced that Blade would be joining the MCU with Mahershala Ali in the role, fans were ecstatic. That’s in part because the character is terrific and in part because the previous films based on him are already fantastic.

Vampire-hunting Blade, played by Wesley Snipes, has returned to the list as a half-vampire who can walk in the daylight. It’s a cult classic that’s only gotten better with time. Action-packed, quotable phrases and fascinating moments abound, and you can’t help but like it.
