10 Best Anime Shows Like Vampire Knight Update 04/2024

Anime Shows Like Vampire Knight

Initially, I was apprehensive about watching this show because of my preconceived notions that it would be another teen vampire romance in the vein of ‘Twilight.’ However, we should never doubt the power of anime. Reluctantly, I began watching the show, but over time, I became engrossed in it. The dark, suspenseful drama that is a trademark of this type of anime captivated me.

For those who haven’t seen it yet, Cross Academy is a prestigious boarding school featured in the show. Classes are offered both during the day and at night at the institution. Separation of the two shifts is strictly enforced to allow for a smooth transition from one phase to the next. Having this is critical because the ‘elite’ students study in the evenings because.. (I think the latter part has got more gravitas). The chairman’s adopted daughter, Yuuki Cross, attends the academies. She’s in charge of keeping an eye on things as they change. She collaborates with another academy student, Zero Kiryuu. Zero, on the other hand, despises vampires. The following is a ranking of Vampire Knight comparative anime. Some of these anime, such as Vampire Knight, are available on streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu.

1. Ouran Koukou Host Club (2006)

Ouran Koukou Host Club (2006)

The shoujo subgenre of anime encompasses this film. It’s a great show to watch with friends. The story revolves around Haruhi Fujioka, a scholarship student at the prestigious Ouran High School. In spite of being a stellar student, she holds no positions or titles at her school, which is unusual for someone her caliber. Ina makes a blunder and ends up in the Host Club by accident. This is a group of popular young men who like to have fun with the female students at the academy. When Haruhi tries to leave, she accidentally breaks a pricey vase in the process. Now she’s forced to work at the club to pay back her debts.

2. Neo Angelique Abyss (2008)

If you love to watch shoujo/romanc

A fantasy theme is prevalent in the anime you’ll enjoy called “Neo Angelique Abyss,” a shoujo/romance series. The plot is also dominated by female characters. Most of the heroes in the world of “Neo Angelique Abyss” are male. They’re called purifiers for a reason. Despite her desire, Angelique has the capability to transform into one. After that, two zealots who show up at her school reveal that she has supernatural abilities that have been hidden from view.

3. Uta no☆Prince-Sama♪ Maji Love 1000% (2013)

Uta no☆Prince-Sama♪ Maji Love 1000% (2013)

I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I’d rather watch an anime with a strong female lead than one with a female protagonist who is always in love. If there is character development in the middle, it’s fine. This is exactly what ‘Uta no Prince-Sama Maji Love 1000 percent’ achieves. Haruka, the main character, aspires to be a musician and composer. She is given the opportunity to attend Saotome Academy. She can join the prestigious Shining Agency if she succeeds in all of the tests and challenges there. The problem for her is that she’ll be surrounded by talented composers.

4. Akatsuki no Yona (Yona of the Dawn) (2014)

Princess Yona is the central character in this anime series. The people adore her just and powerful father. Yona is content with her lot in life in the castle. But when her childhood sweetheart, Soo-won, murders her father and seizes control, reality hits her in the face, her ears perk up. Son Hak, her bodyguard, and she must now flee to find the power of the reincarnated dragon. This story does a fantastic job with Yona.

5. Dance with Devils (2015)

Dance with Devils (2015)

Ritsuka Tachibana’s story is told in ‘Dance with Devils,’ an anime film. The normal course of her life is turned upside down when the student council summons her for violating school regulations. Later on, she comes to understand that there is a lot more to the story. When she learns that members of her family have been harmed, her suspicions are confirmed. She learns she’s in the middle of a conflict between demons and vampires, and both sides believe she holds the key to victory. What are her options? What group should she associate with? This anime has some promise.

6. Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge (2006)

This is a strangely amusing series. Once you’ve read the book, my comment will make sense. Sunako Nakahara has an intolerance to all things aesthetically pleasing. In other words, she got this because a boy kept telling her she was ugly. Slowly, her hatred for beauty began to show, and she began to avoid it. As soon as she sees anything or anyone beautiful, her nose starts to bleed (told you this is weird). As a result, she finds herself in increasingly precarious situations.

7. Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru (2010)

Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru (2010)

I decided to watch this story because of the intriguing plot. It’s a good show. The story revolves around Yuki Sakurai, a young man who is gifted with the ability to see into the painful memories of others simply by touching them. Because of this, he begins to doubt both his own existence and his own abilities. Some people, on the other hand, are aware of his true value. Some people want to keep him safe, while others are out to get him. When he is saved by a man with black hair and silver eyes, he begins to understand why he has superhuman abilities.

8. Tactics (2004)

Then again, why not make some demons your friends instead? In ‘Tactics,’ Ichinomiya Kantaru suffered the same fate. Other people used to taunt and threaten him because he has the ability to see demonic beings. As a result, he turned to demons in search of companionship and gradually grew to love them. Upon learning that Tengu, aka Ogre-eater, is the most powerful demon, Kantaru sets out to find him. Once he locates Tengu, he names him Haruka in honor of the journey he’s taken to find him. For the right audience, this could be amusing.

9. Otome Youkai Zakuro (2010)

Otome Youkai Zakuro (2010)

This anime takes place in Japan during the Meiji Restoration. Kei Agemaki is the main character of ‘Otome Youkai Zakuro.’ As a second lieutenant, his biggest fear is being stalked by demons. Yet until now, he has been able to conceal his apprehensions and work alongside the Youkai (girls with ears like a fox). To better understand and interact with other races, the government has taken this step. Kei is now tasked with investigating paranormal cases alongside these young women. Despite the fact that the plot appears to be comedic at times, the show has a serious side.

10. Diabolik Lovers (2013)

As much as I wanted to include this anime, I couldn’t bring myself to do so. However, I’ve heard that there are those who enjoy it. It seems as if it would benefit from having a more specialized audience. Yui Komori’s father has asked her to share a mansion with six other men. They’re vampire brothers, and Yui is their’sacrificial bride,’ as they call her. Every brother wants to claim her as their own and wants to satisfy their sexual desires on her as a result. What is going to become of her? Is she going to lose her mind?
