Anime Characters Birthday In April

Louis Toms Contributes as a Guest Blogger (owner of Carolina Comic Geek, a Pinterest board which catalogs birthdays of anime, cartoon, comic, and manga characters).

Friends, it’s great to have you back!

This is the seventh time we’ve taken a look at the best anime characters born in the month of…

We’ve chosen ten of the most popular anime characters born in April based on fan votes.

Non-anime fans may find it strange that an article is devoted to recognizing notable people based on their date of birth and the works of artists and authors. In the current world, astrological signs and birthdays can still play a role in determining what type of person a person will be when they grow up. Some anime and manga producers rely on the cultural significance of birthdays to communicate character attributes since personality testing isn’t an option.

The month of April is the only time of the year when the signs of Aries and Taurus come together in harmony. Passion, drive, and self-assurance are all traits associated with those born under the sign of the fire astrological sign. Characters from both manga and anime have many of the same traits that we’ve listed below. Take a look at our list of the most popular anime characters born this month to see whether you believe me.

When it comes to putting together an April birthday list, the task is no less daunting than that of the preceding ones. In order to compile a top ten list of anime characters, I looked through a variety of sites and polled my friends. I became aware while the shortlist was being honed that there were a few names on it that I had never heard of before. Even though I took a few breaks from my research and polling, I managed to come up with a decent list of anime characters who were born this month. This time, I made a point of including both male and female characters who, according to the writers of the stories, were born in April.

I’d like to know if I’ve omitted one of your favorite anime or manga characters born in April as you read this article. Let me know what you think in the comments section below.

10. Suguha “Leafa” Kirigaya (Sword Art Online)

Suguha Kirigaya (Sword Art Online)

april 19, 2009 is my birthday

Isekai and Sword Art Online (SAO) lovers cheer at the tenth episode of April.

Suguha Kirigaya, who made a brief appearance in episode one, becomes a major role in the tale in episode fifteen. Kazuto Kirigaya’s cousin and adopted sister, she grows up in the same house with him.

When her brother became lost in Sword Art Online, Suguha, an athletic teenage girl with short black hair, decided to give up kendo. A VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) seemed a logical next step in her quest to learn more about Kazuto’s fascination with VR (ALO).

Leafa, the elfin Sylph warrior she portrays, is a skilled scout thanks to her quickness and ability to fly. ALO fanatic Suguha inspires Kazuto to return to the world of VRMMORPG gaming. Asuna Yuuki’s rescue is helped along by her brother’s sister.

Fans get to see a cute gamer who cares a lot about his family and friends in a series of stories. In honor of April’s birthdays, we’ve chosen Suguha Kirigaya as the first of the best anime characters to celebrate the occasion.

9. Ruri Gokō (Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai)

Date of Birth: April 20, 1996

Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai is the source of our eighth entry.

It’s revealed early on in the novel that Ruri Gok is an ordinary high school student with an extraordinary secret identity as “Kuroneko,” a member of the otaku club Otaku Girls Unite.

Ruri is forced to take care of her younger siblings while her parents are away due to her family’s financial hardships. She sometimes puts the needs of her younger sisters ahead of her academic responsibilities as a sort of de facto parent figure.

To those who don’t know her well, Ruri appears a bit snooty, but this is really only a mask she uses to hide her true feelings. She is able to maintain a sense of anonymity in order to avoid dealing with the stresses of everyday life through her involvement in online and otaku culture. In her online community, Ruri has made acquaintances with a tiny group of people. She makes friends with Kirino Kousaka and Kyousuke, Kirino’s older brother. The three of them form a close bond through their shared passion for anime and otaku culture.

Ruri and Kyousuke are married and have children in the spin-off manga, which anime fans can read. Ruri Gok’s activities resemble those of a stereotypical Taurus, and for that reason, we’re happy to have her on this month’s list.

8. Yasutora “Chad” Sado (Bleach)

Yasutora Chad Sado

Date of Birth: 7 April

It’s not often that a threatening deuteragonist in an anime series turns out to be an endearing giant who has a deep affection for the people around him.

Chad Sado, better known as Yasutora Sado, was born in Okinawa, but relocated to Mexico with his parents soon after. After his parents died, Oscar Joaqun de la Rosa, Chad’s maternal grandfather, adopted the young man. The death of Yasutora’s Abuelo prompted the young boxer to move back to Japan to live with his family in Karakua Town, where he continues to box professionally while completing high school.

Chad learns about Ichigo Kurosaki’s substitute soul reaper position and the Soul Society from Kisuke Uhahra in Bleach’s Agent of the Shinigami arc. Yasutora gains superhuman strength as well as the ability to use the “Right Arm of the Giant” and the “Left Arm of the Devil” to unleash his Fullbring abilities. Bleach’s creator, Tite Kubo, gave life to one of the few ethnically diverse characters in anime history.

Yasutora “Chad” Sado is a beloved character among anime fans thanks to his combination of strength and tenderness.

7. Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck (Bleach)

Date of Birth: 24 April

One of the best characters from Tite Kubo’s Bleach is featured in our seventh place.

Former Espada member Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, better known by his stage as Nel Tu, once served in the organization. During the Hueco Mundo storyline, she is first introduced to the show.

When Team Ichigo comes upon a youngster being followed by Hollows, they take on the monsters in her defense and free Orihime Inoue. They discover, thanks to Nel Tu’s intervention, that the Hollows are Nel Tu’s biological brothers, and the third is Nel Tu’s pet. In order to defend a helpless, little child, Ichigo’s group turned up the volume on the quartet.

Nnoitra Gilga’s attack left her as a childlike Arrancar, and she was sent to the wastelands as Los Noches Espada’s third most powerful Espada. Her mature Espada form would return after she witnessed Nnoitra break Ichigo’s wrist.

In this fight, Nel Tu shows why she was a member of the Espada by dispatching Nnoitra with ease.

As one of our favorite April-born anime characters since her debut in 2007, Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck has maintained a dedicated fan base.

6. Katsuki “Kacchan” Bakugou (Boku no Hero Academia)

Katsuki Bakugou (Boku no Hero Academia)

Date of Birth: April 20th

As part of our ongoing celebration of all things shnen, we present the character from the hit anime My Hero Academia as our sixth personality. Katsuki “Kacchan” Bakugou, also known as the Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight, is U.A. High School’s hero-in-training and series deuteragonist.

This character’s first appearance reveals a self-assured and arrogant someone who thinks he or she is better to others, particularly those who lack Quirk talents. One may argue that he is a bully because of his early behaviors. Izuku Midoriya, Kacchan’s childhood friend and fellow Class 1-A student, is an example of this. After a couple of setbacks at the hands of his classmates, his less-than-stellar disposition gives way to a slightly less unhealthy competitive spirit.

To reevaluate one’s view on life, there is nothing like a little humble pie. Only for a brief period of time, he has the power to activate the abilities Explosion and One for All. Over the course of the series, Kacchan has evolved into a character known for his never-say-die attitude. Katsuki Bakugou is deserving of acclaim for all of the above reasons and many more.

“to win” (katsu) and the character for “self” (ki) appear in Katsuki Bakugou’s name, while his surname includes “bomb” (baku) and “powerful” (g).

5. Kakarot or Son Goku (Dragon Ball Z)

Date of Birth: 16 April, 733

Dragon Ball Z’s protagonist is one of the most popular anime characters, according to the results of our sixth poll.

Bardock and Gine’s son, Kakarot (also known as Son Goku), was born on Planet Vegeta to them.

As an infant, Goku was sent to Earth by his fierce warrior ancestors, the Saiyans, with the intention of destroying it. A traumatic brain injury, on the other hand, tamed the child’s destructive nature and allowed him to concentrate on honing his superhuman abilities. Goku becomes the Earth’s greatest protector as a result of this.

In the same way that all Universe 7 Saiyans have a prehensile tail, he was born with one. In order to prevent Goku from transforming into a world-ending Great Ape, Kami, a former Earth Guardian, would remove this appendage permanently. Because of his devotion to martial arts training and the knowledge he gains from it, he is able to reach the pinnacle of his combat prowess in the Dragon Ball Super series.

When he married the Princess of Fire Mountain, he had two sons to continue on his tradition of defending the Earth.

He has been a fan favorite for more than 35 years since his debut in The Secret of the Dragon Balls. By today’s standards, Son Goku’s longevity is astounding, and it’s why he remains one of the most popular anime characters.

4. René Tamaki Richard de Grantaine Suoh (Ouran High School Host Club)

René Tamaki Richard de Grantaine Suoh

Date of Birth: 4 April

Basco Hatorie, a legendary manga artist, created one of my all-time favorite anime characters, and he’s celebrating his fourth birthday this month. Tamaki Suoh, the Host Club President of Ouran High School, comes to mind.

A single mother who could no longer care for Tamaki after she gave birth to him out of wedlock and was forced to give up her parental rights to his father’s family on the condition that she cut off all contact with him. The Suoh family prepared Tamaki for the role of heir to the Suoh fortune by instilling in him an appreciation for Japanese high society culture and customs.

Assuming that Tamaki would be a one-dimensional tool, I was surprised to see that Basco Hatorie had given this character a lot of complexity. At first glance, Tamaki appears to be someone with a penchant for the dramatic but who is also rather slow to catch on. As we see Tamaki’s abilities as a pianist and as a student, our expectations are rapidly dashed. We see how devoted he is to his friends and other people, but we also see how desperate he is to find his birth mother.

Many fans still like the Ouran High School Host Club narrative and characters even after a decade. This month’s top ten list of April birthdays shows that anime fans recognize Tamaki Suoh.

3. Kagome Higurashi (InuYasha)

On April 30, 1981, I was born.

When you think that InuYasha first aired around twenty-odd years ago, it’s incredible that our third entry is celebrating its fortieth birthday.

The main character of the series, Kagome Higurashi, lives at the family shrine with her mother and younger brother.

When Kagome was fifteen, a yokai dragged her into the holy well at the temple and whisked her back in time to Japan’s Sengoku jidai (1467-1615). She defeats the mukade and frees the hany Inuyasha in the process. Reincarnated miko, Kikyo, and her body contain the Shikon no Tama or “Jewel of Four Souls,” which Kagome discovers. Dispersed over Japan, the Jewel is shattered and fragmented. To prevent the fragments from falling into the hands of the spider ykai Naraku, Kagome and her companions must journey across the country in search of them.

The shorter yumi (hanky) with arrows she uses to combat evil during their adventures shows her archery ability.

We may disagree on Kagome’s status as a waifu or best girl, but I think we can all agree that she is a good female heroine. According to fan polls and Kagome Higurashi’s own words, she’s April’s third most popular character.

2. Mei Misaki (Another)

Mei Misaki (Another)

On April 27, 1983, I was born.

Every now and then, an anime character comes along that challenges the viewer’s preconceptions by allowing them to explore some dark areas of the human psyche. This is a good fit for April’s silver medal finalist.

In Yomiyama North Middle School’s Class 3-3, Mei Misaki stands out as the class’s shortest member. Her students referred to her as “the one who does not exist” because of her pessimism and social withdrawal. We learn about Mei’s upbringing and public persona through her narrative, and how they work together to shape the way people perceive her.

She was taken away from her twin sister as an infant and raised by her aunt. As soon as her ancestry was made public, Mei’s aunt forbade her from contacting her birth parents again. She was able to stay in touch with her identical twin sister because to the convenience of a cellphone.

When a childhood ailment left Mei with only one functional eye, her mother fashioned a prosthetic from a doll’s eye, which she wears under her eyepatch. Adding insult to injury, Mei was present during an assault that resulted in the death of a lady.

In the eyes of anime fans, there is a glimmer of optimism that she may emerge from these storms as a better person. My heart goes out to Mei Misaki as we honor her as our runner-up for April’s best anime character, and I hope that she may find happiness and joy.

1. Erza Scarlet (Fairy Tail)

Date of birth: 7 April 1865

On our list of the top ten anime characters born in April, Fairy Tail’s Erza Scarlet takes the number one spot.

In an attempt to bring back the dark mage Zeref, Erza’s captors used her and her fellow slaves to build the Tower of Heaven. It wasn’t long until the young girl snapped and organized an uprising to release her fellow prisoners. The slaver cult could not stand a chance against Erza’s relentless efforts, which unlocked hidden magical abilities within her.

With the help of her memory, she will become one of the Guild’s most powerful members, both physically and magically. To Natsu Dragneel and his crew in particular, she is a fervent supporter of the Guild.

In public, we see a stoic warrior who wears conventional clothing, yet behind this stiff exterior hides a passionate woman. Trashy books and daring clothing are two of her favorite things.
