Years later, Millennion and its new leader Harry MacDowel resurrect Brandon Heat.

While Darker Than Black has a much more in-depth plot, both anime series feature characters who work for a nefarious organization. Darker Than Black With the exception of Gungrave, Darker Than Black is more of a criminal story than a mafia one.

Both shows have an edgy vibe to them due to the fact that the protagonists are people who kill other people for the most part. For the most part, both shows explore a dark and at times overly convoluted plot with characters who go by code names and don’t always have the personality you expect.
