10 Purple Anime Characters That You Should Watching Update 04/2024

Purple Anime Characters

For a long time, several anime characters have been known for their brightly colored hair. Purple is one of the least likely hues to be seen in someone’s hair in the entire spectrum. There are very few examples of purple in nature because it’s so rare (only few flowers, stones and shellfish are naturally purple). Because of its scarcity, it was primarily utilized by kings and other members of the elite in ancient times.

So it’s no surprise that monarchy, individuality, and authority are associated with this hue. Because purple is so uncommon, it’s cloaked in mystique and typically associated with magic or the paranormal. These are some of the rarest and most distinctive examples that sport such vibrant hues. Here are our picks for the best anime characters with purple hair!

10. Atsushi Murasakibara from Kuroko no Basket/Kuroko’s Basketball

Atsushi Murasakibara from Kuroko no Basket

In the same way that purple is often associated with the supernatural and the mighty, so is it. Yosen’s large man is well described by these words. When it comes to the famed Generation Of Miracles, Murasakibara may be the game’s biggest star. As a 6-foot-10 (208-centimeter) beast, his dunks can easily clear three defenders.

This amethyst-haired demon is as unbeatable offensively as he is defensively. We’re talking about a man who is so large that he can guard the entire three-point arc, preventing anyone from shooting from within the arc. Murasakibara is a one-of-a-kind player because of his incredible stature and strength.

9. Minene Uryuu from Mirai Nikki/Future Diary

Our cherished 9th future diary bearer can be found on our 9th position. Power, majesty, and pride are all reflected in her dark violet hair. She is a cold-blooded insane criminal who is willing to do everything to achieve her goal of becoming the new God. When Yuki and Yuno are lured out of the school by a bomb, she makes her first appearance on Mirai Nikki.

When it comes to the Survival Game, she’s a real survivor thanks to her Escape Diary and fiery temperament. However, we can see at the show’s conclusion that she has a soft place for investigator Masumi Nishijima since she is feminine and romantic at heart.

By the end of the presentation, she’ll be able to do some impressive feats of magic. It seemed obvious that the one with purple hair would be the one to receive magical abilities…

8. Rize Kamishiro from Tokyo Ghoul

Rize Kamishiro from Tokyo Ghoul

We’ve already talked about how the color purple signifies mysterious powers and mystery. A flesh-eating monster, after all, is the ultimate in supernaturalism, right? Knowing that a piece of that beast is inside of you, driving you to kill and consume the living, that’s what.

Finally, we made it to the demon girl in Tokyo who was on our list of must-sees. With her large breasts and delicate orchid purple hair, she is a babe of a demon. Refined beauty is only surpassed by force and bloodlust. Having her die so early in the program is a real bummer. The good news is that we can still get glimpses of her manipulating Kaneki’s thoughts.

7. Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop

Our list would not have been complete without the Queen of Hearts. This space thief’s eggplant (yes, that’s a color) short hair is on display in our seventh spot. Incredibly, she came out of her 54-year cryogenic sleep with an enormous hospital bill, which is why she continues to deceive, seduce, steal, and gamble her way through life. Her story is fascinating.

Delicate, beautiful and graceful are just a few of the adjectives that come to mind when thinking of purple. Faye has all of those qualities, and she uses them to her advantage to ensure that she gets what she wants. Her character is complicated, but no one can dispute that she is a formidable individual.

6. Hiiragi Kagami from Lucky Star!

Hiiragi Kagami from Lucky Star

For a variety of reasons, we had to include Kagami-sama in our search. There will be just one, since she’s simply so cute. There’s no other purple-haired cutie quite like Kagami in my mind (except maybe for her twin sister, of course). Her lavender hair reflects her femininity, grace, delicacy, and pomposity.

Kagami has a reputation for being self-absorbed and superficial, and she frequently obsesses over her weight. To disguise her emotions, she is the tsundere in the group. She has a soft spot for her friends, and she may be a little cheesy from time to time.

5. Kotomi Ichinose from Clannad

Our favorite purple-haired nerd and accomplished violinist is Kotomi-chan. Every time she performs, those who are in the audience end up falling over and damaging their ears. She is a shy and fearful girl (mainly because of bullies), but she also does exceptionally well in school, which is part of what makes her so intriguing.

Since she lost her parents in a plane disaster, Kotomi’s hair is one of the deepest tones of purple. The upshot was that Kotomi was raised as an isolated and depressed teenager, preferring the companionship of books over the company of her peers. She’s adorable because she’s so innocent and pure.

4. Blair from Soul Eater

As far as I’m concerned, Blair is a hottie. While she has the ability to transform into a cat and use magic, these are not her most powerful tools. Her greatest asset, in my opinion, is her appearance. This violet-haired blonde takes advantage of her sexual allure for her own gain or to taunt guys in general.

Male admirers are bleeding from their noses because of her engorged breasts and garish witch costume. No matter how many times she does it, she has no qualms about exposing herself to males, which frequently results in the most amusing reactions and scenarios possible. The fact that she is both feminine and a magic user means that she’s got quite a bit of purple in her.

3. Nakamura Yuri from Angel Beats!

Nakamura Yuri from Angel Beats

The creator and leader of the Afterlife War Front is a female with pink hair. Her vibrant and vivacious hair color portrays both her appeal as a leader and her cold, analytical demeanor when confronted with a crisis. In order to achieve her goals, she is willing to take risks or make concessions if they are necessary.

At times, she might be a bit of a goofball, but she’d do anything for any of her subordinates. She is willing to fight alone, even if it means taking her own life, in order to protect those she cares about. “Purple Heart” for bravery goes to Yuri without a doubt.

2. Busujima Saeko from Highschool of the Dead

We eventually meet Saeko from HOTD on number two. When it comes to decisions, she’s got a solid head on her shoulders. As the head of Fujimi High School’s Kendo Club, she is Komuro’s most formidable weapon of survival. She uses her wooden sword to slay zombies, all the while maintaining her stunning good looks.

Saeko is the most self-assured member of Komuro’s gang. She has no qualms about taking on the undead from a distance. She’s got the boobs and the capacity to kick zombies in the ass. It’s no surprise that many of us have a soft spot for Saeko from HOTD.

1. Trunks from Dragon Ball Z

Trunks from Dragon Ball Z

Throughout history, the color purple has been a favorite of kings, emperors, and other members of the royal family. For the son of a Saiyan royal, any other hair color was out of the question. Vegeta and Bulma’s kid, Trunks, is a proud Saiyan warrior.

The first time he appears in the DBZ story, he makes sushi out of Frieza and King Cold, making him one of the most powerful characters. Second Super Saiyan to be seen in DB universe, which complicates matters even worse.

Although he is a formidable Saiyan, his lavender hair suggests he is a lighthearted and calm person, so avoid making him upset. This could be an allusion to Trunks’ other future, in which he is the final Z warrior. Purple is also the color of sorrow. He’s just so incredible!

In spite of the fact that purple hair is one of the least common hair colors in anime, I bet you’d be astonished to learn just how many iconic and unforgettable characters have purple hair. For example, we left out Saori Kido (St. Seiya), James from the Team Rocket Pokémon team, Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, Mizore Shirayuki from Rosario to Vampire, and Dark from Bleach, among others (DNAngel).

The purple on their heads suggests that they, too, are as unusual and one-of-a-kind as the individuals on our list. This is a wonderful honor for them. Magenta hair is so flattering on all of them that I’m tempted to give it a go myself. Even still, I doubt I could pull it off as well as these people.

We’d love to know which purple-haired character is your favorite, and if you can think of another one that hasn’t been named. The task at hand is not a simple one, I can tell you that.
