1. Constantine (2005)
Det. Angela Dodson approaches John Constantine and asks for his assistance in proving that the death of his twin sister Isabel was not a suicide. As a devout Catholic, Angela finds it difficult to believe the deceased would commit suicide. Constantine has been enlisted as a result of his well-earned reputation for dealing with the ethereal and mystical. As a matter of fact, his sole mission on Earth is to expel demons from our world. John has been to Hell and knows he will go back there when he dies, but he has faith that his good deeds will get him into Heaven instead. Because of this, he finds himself in an all-out war with Satan after investigating Isabel’s death and learning that demons are trying to infiltrate the human realm.
2. The Prophecy (1995)
Thomas Daggett believes that some people lose faith because Heaven only shows them a small portion of what they need to see. The question is: “How many people have lost their faith as a result of having seen too much of Heaven?” Daggett was on his way to becoming a priest when he joined the police force.
He may want to put his religious beliefs behind him, but a strange, eyeless, hermaphrodit…ic corpse appears one morning and calls his attention. Suddenly, he finds himself in the middle of a Heavenly war. In addition to that, Heaven will once again expose him to far too much gore, blood, charred flesh, and the remains of living corpses. A young girl plays an even more important role in the heavenly war effort. It appears that this Native American child has something that Gabriel craves. That means he’s willing to kill or reanimate anyone who stands in his way of getting it, including her.
3. Fallen (1998)
Detective John Hobbes believes his problems will be solved once serial killer Edgar Reese is put to death. Some say the cursed fallen angel Azaze…l is behind all of it when people he knows and strangers start singing the same song he did in the gas chamber and those same people taunt him. Azazel has been cursed to roam the Earth in an unassuming form, and he has the ability to switch between different bodies simply by making eye contact with another person. In order to clear his name, Hobbes must kill an Azazel-possessed man while also defending his family and friends from the vengeful Azazel.
4. Prince Of Darkness (1987)
For many years, a sinister secret was hidden in the basement of an old Los Angeles church. When a mysterious sect’s priest is found dead, another priest opens the basement door and finds a vat filled with a green liquid. To find out more, the priest gets in touch with a team of physics grad s…tudents. It turns out, however, that the liquid contains Satan’s essence, and when it is released, it will unleash HIS father, the all-powerful Anti-God. Students are turned into zombies when the liquid comes to life on its own, releasing Satan to free his father. What chance do these students have of thwarting this assassin?
5. Priest (2011)

6. The Nice Guys (2016)
It all begins when single father and licensed PI Holland March (Ryan Gosling) is hired to look into the apparent suicide of famous porn star Misty Mountains in 1977 Los Angeles, and the film takes place in that time period. As he follows the trail to find Amelia (Qualley), he runs into the young hippie’s hired gun, private eye Jackson Healey (Russell Crowe), who is less licens…ed and less hands-off than the girl. When Amelia suddenly vanishes, it becomes clear that March wasn’t the only one with an interest in her. Together, these two must face a dangerous world full of oddballs, strippers dressed as mermaids, and the possibility of a government conspiracy.
7. Odd Thomas (2013)
Odd Thomas (‘Anton Yelchin’ (qv)), a fry cook in a small town, has a strange gift: he can see the dead. In the face of a mysterious visitor and his army of ghostly bodachs, Odd is convinced that his town is in grave danger. These predators feed on pain and are capable of wreaking havoc if they feel threatened. The film is based on Dean Koontz’s best-selling novel of the same name.
8. Annabelle (2014)

9. Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For (2014)
Marv is lying unconscious among the dead on a highway. He has amnesia when he wakes up and tries to recall his last Saturday night steps from the Kadie’s saloon. A homeless man was set on fire by four playboys, and he intervened to protect the victim. Marv goes on the hunt for them and ends up killing the entire gang.
Emboldened by his win at the Kadie’s saloon slot machines, Johnny enlists the help of the waitress Marcie in order to play a poker game against Senator Roark. He triumphs in the game and pays the price for his conceit. Ava Lord, a former lover of Dwight McCarthy’s, contacts him and asks to meet at the Kadie’s saloon, where he used to work. Ava begs for his forgiveness for abandoning her to marry the wealthy Damian Lord and leaving them both behind in the process. Manute, her powerful driver, however, is the one who gets her home safely. Manute and the bodyguards find Dwight snooping around Ava’s house and beat him up.
This time Ava is ready for him when he gets home and seduces him all over again. Damian and Manute torture her, she says next, and she will be killed soon. This time Manute hits Dwight and asks Marv for assistance in rescuing Ava. Damian tries to defend himself, but Dwight ends up killing him while Marv rips out Manute’s eye. However, Dwight soon discovers that he had been duped by Ava, who then kills him as a result. Fortunately, Marv comes to Dwight’s aid and transports him to the Old Town, where he meets his former flame Gail, who helps him heal while Dwight plans vengeance against his former love Ava.
10. Stigmata (1999)
One of the Vatican’s priests is sent to Brazil’s capital of Sao Paulo to look into reports that a statue of the Virgin Mary has appeared on a building. While there, he learns that a small town outside of the city has a statue of the Virgin Mary who is weeping. The wounds of Christ are beginning to show on a young American woman. As her stigmata worsens, the priest from the Vatican becomes increasingly involved in her care. The priest, who has been questioning his religion for the last two centuries, finally understands what she is saying when she stops ranting and raving.
11. Hardcore Henry (2015)

Everyone, with the exception of Jimmy, a shady British character. You don’t know if he’s on your side or not. 12. The Last Witch Hunter (2015)

15. Captain America: Civil War (2016)
