An ordinary high school student’s phone is transformed into a futuristic journal that can see up to 90 days into the future thanks to Yukiteru Amano, a reclusive loner who keeps a diary on his phone. Deus Ex Machina, the God of Space and Time, and his assistant Muru Muru gave him the gift. As a result of this, the deities enroll Yukiteru in a battle royale game in which he must either kill 11 other diary holders like himself or die at their hands.

School-Live! isn’t as charming as it appears. As with Higurashi, all hell will break free when They Cry. A lovely slice-of-life show about four adorable high school girls doing adorable things becomes a Walking Dead anime in the course of one season. They are all fighting to escape the horrible zombie apocalypse at Megurigaoka High School, where Yuki Takeya, Kurumi Ebisuzawa, Miki Naoki, and Yuuri Wakasa are all stranded.
