10 Tall Anime Characters That You Should Watching Update 04/2024

Tall Anime Characters

My fellow short kings are the ones I have to represent on these lists, therefore I frequently scream them out.

Today, though, I propose that we consider the obverse of the coin.

And in the anime world, there are a lot of tall men. A few stand over six feet tall, while others are only averagely tall.

Don’t worry, average height characters; your day will come.

Please don’t attack me with pitchforks if you notice that any of the heights have been rounded up.

10. Jōichirō Yukihira

Joichiro Yukihira (Food Wars!)

Joichiro would win another award if there was a contest for the best father in the world.

He follows the anime convention of being missing most of the time, so that’s not a bad thing. However, Souma appears to be unaffected by it.

After all, Joichiro provided a model of a life to which Souma can aspire. Moreover, he ensured that his son was adequately equipped for the journey ahead.

The man’s cooking talents are so outstanding that a monk will break his fast merely to eat a piece of his food.

However, the impression of his size that he leaves behind is far larger than his actual height: 1.8 meters (6 feet).

9. Kamina

This man’s charm is so contagious that I would follow him to the ends of the Earth if I could.

He always has a positive outlook and is an inspiration to the rest of his crew. Why not? At this point, it’s not like he has any choice.

With his trademark glasses and cape, he’s readily recognisable from a distance of just a few feet.

This character is one of my favorites; in fact, he carried several of the earlier episodes

8. Edward Newgate

Edward Newgate

Let me present to you Whitebeard, just in case you thought I was going to stop at 1.8 meter tall figures.

I can’t think of another way to characterize him than as a whole entity. Even the most fearless warriors would have second thoughts about taking on someone who stands at 6.6 meters (21.6 feet) tall and is covered in wounds.

The size of this man’s heart is more essential than anything else about him. Metaphorically.

A father figure to everyone on his team, the man sincerely cares about each and every one of them as though he were their biological father. Even I have a soft spot for calling him Papa.

7. Alphonse Elric

Edward and Alphonse were unquestionably one of the greatest husband-and-wife teams ever.

Though both were made of flesh and blood, they were incomparably different from one other.

Alphonse, on the other hand, maintains a serene demeanor while Ed is yelling and yelling. Making a funny UwU face from time to time.

In addition, despite Al’s towering 7.2-foot height, Ed is still mistaken for a child.

When things go downhill, you may anticipate both to be a little rough around the edges.

6. Escanor

Escanor

Every time Daytime Escanor arrives, you know something incredible is about to happen.

He has some of the best one-liners in anime because of his inflated sense of self-importance. And because of his undeniable strength, he is often the subject of sensationalized matchups.

It doesn’t take long before you’re confronted with sheer masculinity and confidence of 3.2 meters (10.4 feet) when the Sun rises.

I would have been content to die happy if his struggle with Meliodas hadn’t been a PowerPoint presentation.

5. Gildarts Clive

Gildarts was, in my opinion, the ideal senpai.

Tossing characters into the void was no problem for him.

People rearranged the city so he wouldn’t have to make a turn when going somewhere because his presence was so well-known.

However, he maintained a grounded demeanor that allowed others to relax when he was present.

According to his height, he may not be the tallest character in Fairy Tail (6.2 feet). However, he was the star of the show for me, and as such, he had to be included.

4. Bulat

Bulat

Before any of the females had ever approached him, Tatsumi made the decision to fall in love with this man.

Bulat, like Gildarts, is the epitome of a big brother figure.

In order to ensure that Tatsumi improves physically and mentally, he always keeps an eye on him and never makes him feel uncomfortable.

His company is always a joy. However, he is a formidable opponent.

I was startled to learn that he is just 6 feet tall, as he always appeared to be much taller to me.

3. Joseph Joestar

I’m sure a lot of people would prefer Joestar Kujo over Joestar Joestar. Nonetheless, Joseph is the only thing I can’t get enough of.

The man’s wackiness never fails to bring a smile to my face.

Whatever the reason, he’s in the news, whether it’s for being a tequila-obsessed costumed woman or for showing up late to his own funeral.

He stands roughly 1.9 meters tall, the same as Dio (6.2 feet). That show’s trademark muscle-bound physique is evident in him as well.

2. Ira Gamagoori

Ira Gamagoori

If combined with Mako, Gamagoori is one of my favorite supporting characters in anime.

There’s something endearing and humorous about watching this 8.8-foot-tall mountain of a man engage with the diminutive ball of energy who goes by the name of Mako.

Because he acknowledges her despite his harsh exterior. And even goes out of his way to be kind to her.

For the love of all things rom-com, I would devour a movie starring these two.

1. Hisoka Morow

Hisoka, everyone’s favorite murder clown, had to round out the list.

To be fair, his height isn’t particularly impressive either at 1.9 meters (6.2 feet). However, the figure is so well-known that I believe he is deserving of this honor.

In the series, he’s a wild card because he doesn’t abide by doing either good or bad. But rather, to the principles of fun and boredom..

When he’s not killing people, he’s playing dodgeball. And he’s one of anime’s most iconic antagonists because of his utter madness in battle and his unpredictability (with some height to back him up).
