1. Fairly Legal

Fairly Legal

Kate Reed is a person you should get to know. She used to be a lawyer, but now she works as a mediator. She’s also dealing with the deaths of her father and her ex-husband, both of whom passed away relatively recently. Kate works at the law firm that her father founded with her stepmother, who is about the same age.

The two women who are at the center of the story and how they come to understand and accept each other are the series’ primary focus. They can be completely at odds with one another at times. There are also times when the two of them are practically BFFs. The first episode of USA Network’s Fairly Legal aired in January of that year. Because of low viewership, the show was cancelled after only two seasons. There were 23 episodes in total.

2. Franklin & Bash

Franklin & Bash

Peter Bash and Jared Franklin have been pals for a very long time. Both of them are also unconventional lawyers… more street-smart than many of their fellow attorneys. They’re asked to join a once-respected law firm that’s now in financial trouble after winning a significant case.

Unfortunate for the duo, they’re hired for reasons other than what they expected. Throughout the four seasons, follow Franklin & Bash as they represent clients and try to upend the firm whenever possible. TNT aired the show from 2011 until 2014.

3. Common Law

Common Law

In 2012, the Common Law system was established. According to policy, partners in the Los AngelesPD are exempt from seeing a couple’s therapist when working on cases jointly. This does not apply to Travis Marks and Wes Mitchell (Michael Ealy and Warren Kole, respectively).

Think of it as a marriage, but with a lot more bullets. They just don’t seem to be able to communicate with one another. What’s the answer to this problem? It is their Captain who insists that they see a therapist in order to improve their relationship. Common Law was axed after only 12 episodes. The decision was made as a result of the show’s poor viewership.

4. Breakout Kings

Breakout Kings

Another show like leverage is A&E’s Breakout Kings, which debuted in 2011. There are a total of 23 episodes in the second season. In the show’s opening credits, we learn the basic premise. A task force of U.S. Marshals assembles a group of convicted felons. What am I getting at here?

They help each other catch criminals in exchange for being moved to low-security facilities (where their sentences are reduced). If this is your answer, you are correct. If any of the newly hired prisoners try to flee while on the hunt, their sentences will be doubled. That’s the only drawback.

5. In Plain Sight

In Plain Sight

In Plain Sight focuses on Mary Shannon, a Deputy United States Marshal who lives a dual life. She is more specifically involved with the program for witness protection. But juggling a challenging job with a troublesome family isn’t an easy task. Shannon, on the other hand, makes every effort to keep the two at bay. The show aired on USA Network in 2008 and was well received. There were 61 episodes in total.
