Top Into the Badlands-Fan TV shows to watch now
People have forgotten about the wars because they took place so long ago. Before the barons, when seven men and women brought order out of chaos, darkness and fear reigned supreme. In search of safety, people flocked to them in large numbers. As a result, the protection turned into a form of servitude.
Weapons were banned, and armies of deadly fighters known as Clippers were trained in their place. The foundation of this world is blood. There is no one here who is completely blameless. You have arrived in the Badlands. –this is the introduction to ‘Into the Badlands,’ narrated by M.K.
It’s been five centuries since the devastating war that left only ruins in the Badlands. People are afraid to use guns and other nuclear weapons in the modern world because of the remnants of the past they leave behind, such as electricity and automobiles. Instead, they use more primitive weapons like melee weapons and crossbows, just like our ancestors did.
The Badlands is set in a dystopian Oklahoma where powerful Barons control trade and opium monopolies, land, and fuel. They have ranks of highly trained, loyal warriors known as Clippers, captained by a Regent. You cannot marry or have children if you are a Clipper. There are also a lot of slaves called Cogs and prostitutes called Dolls that belong to the Barons.
Besides these, there are numerous other groups: lawless, homicidal bandits known as the Nomads who live in clans and survive by stealing from traders; the River King, who has control over water trades, and the Totemists, religious fanatics who worship idols, as well as the Widow, who leads a revolt against the feudal order.
This AMC series, which centers on the post-apocalyptic Badlands, debuted on November 15th, 2015 with its first episode. The story revolves around a warrior and a young boy on a perilous quest for enlightenment through these harsh lands.
There are many reasons why fans of Into the Badlands love the show: its dystopian setting; well choreographed action sequences; and its bloody but engrossing storyline.
