Chiaki, Kana, and Haruka Minami are the three protagonists of Minami-ke, a story about their life. Although the Minami sisters’ affection for one another is obvious, isn’t that the whole point of being a part of one? Aside from that, they get to spend every day with each other and the cast of colorful personalities that surrounds them as they go about their lives. Minami-ke and its three sequels capture the silliness of the Minami sisters’ daily lives.
If you’re looking for another Yoshiko, Kana is the place to go. Chiaki, her younger sister, teases her for being such a dork. As soon as you think about Yoshiko, you know you’re thinking of Kana, because she has all of Yoshiko’s goofiness! That being said, Minami-ke has a lot of the same sense of humor as Aho Girl, with a simple slice-of-life setting and tremendous contrast between characters. In Minami-ke, even if there isn’t a lot going on, it’s evident that the characters are what make this show so enjoyable. When compared to Aho Girl, Sakamoto has a lot going for him, but Yoshiko is seen as an irritating annoyance by most of the other characters. Featuring absurd events involving their central characters, these two comedic anime series about high school life are sure to have you in the mood to laugh. The Sakamoto Desu Ga movie will have convinced you that Sakamoto is your new favorite singer.
6. Himouto! Umaru-chan

Who among us can claim to be faultless in all respects? Doma Umaru, who has the most adorable face and is excellent at everything she does, would be the best candidate. The school’s favorite student is Umaru. Her brother, Taihei, sees an entirely different Umaru than everyone else does. Chibi Umaru enjoys junk food, video games, and watching anime with her hamsters when she is at home. Does she have time for anything else?
Yoshiko is the worst of the worst when it comes to pointless females. When Umaru is at home she is absolutely useless, despite her appearance of perfection. She’s a miser. Her brother Taihei is a victim of her antics. If you’re a fan of Yoshiko and Akuru’s back and forth, you’ll enjoy Taihei and Umaru’s back and forth.
