Anime Like Future Diary

Mirai Nikki (also known as Future Diary) had such an incredible impact on me that I’m eager to suggest it to each and everyone without hesitation. Moreover, the overall story and fundamentals of this anime are so impressive that I’ve already watched it a few times. As long as it exists, I’ll watch it over and over again. Mirai Nikki really really that good! Even the dull moments, if there are any, in this action-psychological-drama-thriller anime show are a masterpiece!

To show my appreciation, I’m making more anime like Mirai Nikki available for everyone’s enjoyment. All of these titles were chosen by me based on their relevancy and my personal feelings about them, so you can make your own judgments about them. Whatever happens, I know you’ll have a blast!

Get ready to scream and scream and scream and scream and scream your way through this list of anime based on Mirai Nikki.

Twelve people are summoned by Deus ex Machina to participate in a survival game in which they are given the ability to anticipate the future in the form of Future Diaries as a means of determining who will be wielding his almighty abilities. There are twelve contestants, and only one will remain standing at the end of the competition. In order to play in the dangerous survival game, Yukiteru Amano, a student at Aloof High School, must shatter the silence of his normal life. It’s either a smooth triumph or… a dead end in this game of life and death!

1. Btooom!

Btooom

Until someone is wounded, it’s all fun and games. It’s not enjoyable, but it’s dangerous for Ryouta Sakamoto and a select few others when they try to play the hugely popular online game “Btooom” in real life on a barren island. Ryouta and the others are stranded on an island with only bombs known as BIMs, and they must fight it out until one of them emerges victorious and is granted permission to depart.

the similarities between Btooom and Mirai Nikki go much beyond just the action and mayhem, however. Their intensity and exhilaration are comparable. Both are engrossing and enticing (in a lot of good ways). Both engross the audience by making them feel as if they are a part of the action and the story itself. Thus, Btooom! likewise achieves greatness, taking center stage and demonstrating what action is in its purest form.. Everyone is guaranteed to love and cherish every scene.

2. Higashi no Eden (Eden of the East)

Morimi Saki is strolling about in the center of the universe when she gets into a scuffle with the White House security guards. The good news is that she’s saved by a naked stranger. That young man is Takizawa Akira; he has no recollection of anything, and he only has a revolver and a phone with ten (10) billion credits in it with which to defend himself. “Juiz,” his personal concierge, is able to fulfill almost any request he has. When Saki and Akira travel together, they realize that further strange happenings (including the Selecao, the Careless Monday and society) are just about to take place.

The Similarity: Take a look at this! Mirai Nikki and Higashi no Eden both deal with the theme of survival through video games and mobile phones. We have the Selecao (12 of them), the Noblesse Oblige Phones, and Juiz for Higashi no Eden. In addition to the Future Diary holders (12 of them), the Future Diaries, and Deus ex Machina, we have Mirai Nikki. Have you already realized how similar they are? Mirai Nikki and Higashi no Eden focus on different aspects of their stories: the psychology and the mysterious. Despite this, there are many parallels between the two shows.

3. Danganronpa: The Animation

Danganronpa The Animation

Naegi Makoto and fourteen other high school students find themselves in a precarious predicament at the beginning of the school year. In order to graduate from the school and eventually get out of there, they must must kill one another without being discovered by the school’s peculiar principal, Monokuma (Monobear). It’s possible that the killer will get away with their crime while the others are put to death. But if they can identify the assailant, the pupils will be spared execution and the killer would be put to death. The choice is clear: kill or be killed!

When it comes to mind-boggling plot twists and turns, both Danganronpa and Mirai Nikki have plenty. Danganronpa is a mind-blowing experience that leaves fans wanting more. I could not put this show down until I had seen every episode and learned all of the shocking twists and shocking truths. The only drawback is the lack of action, which is replaced by a series of mental exercises, psychological dramas, and enigmas. Despite this, Danganronpa is still one of the greatest games ever made.

4. Deadman Wonderland

Before an awful catastrophe occurs, Igarashi Ganta’s simple and routine existence takes a dramatic turn. His class is attacked by an enigmatic red figure who kills everyone except for him. Afterward, he is falsely accused of killing his classmates in a mass shooting in his classroom. A high-security jail (sometimes known as a “wonderland”), known as the Deadman Wonderland, has sent Ganta into further violent discoveries about the man in red and his relationship with him.

The Similarity: Deadman Wonderland also has a good mix of action, drama, and dark aspects. That’s why it’s comparable to Mirai Nikki in terms of quality. Both are well-made and intense, no matter which direction you go. When you want action, you get it, and when you want a deeper understanding of the plot, you get it. For the most part, the plots of both shows revolve around things that aren’t visible to the naked eye, which is where they shine.

5. Death Note

Death Note

One day, Yagami Light is sitting in class when he observes a notebook fall to the ground. Unaware that it is a notepad that will alter the course of his life, he picks it up out of curiosity. Any name scrawled in the notebook, dubbed the “Death Note,” results in death. There are several ways in which Light can use this power for his own ends. Light, going by the alias Kira, will stop at nothing to rescue the planet from the grip of criminals. It doesn’t matter if what he does is good or harmful, “L” is the only person who can stop him now.

The Similarity: In my opinion, Death is one of the best films ever made in terms of being gloomy and psychologically intense. In addition, it excels as an anime that makes excellent use of intelligence and wit. Despite the lack of action, Death Note’s atmosphere is on a level with, if not better than, Mirai Nikki’s in terms of quality. With Mirai Nikki, you’ll get a lot more action. Death Note is your best bet if you’re looking for more clever mental gymnastics. It’s best to watch both if you want to experience both worlds!

6. Puella Magi Madoka Magica

Madoka Kaname, an eighth-grade eighth-grader, has had a quiet, simple, and loving life up until this point. One day, an enigmatic newcomer stares her down and begs her not to get involved in anything unusual lest she turn out to be someone she’ll regret forever. A mythical creature named Kyuubey pleads for Madoka’s help and offers to grant one extraordinary desire at the cost of converting her into a magical girl, and everything changes! There’s just one possible ending, and that’s a terrible tragedy that can be turned around only by a miraculous miracle!

Both Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Mirai Nikki have colossal plot twists that come out of nowhere. Because I don’t want to give anything away, I’m not going to tell you what it is because I think you’ll enjoy discovering it for yourself. Puella Magi Madoka Magica looks nothing like what it is, therefore I’m confident you’ll appreciate it. Additionally, this anime is a gloomy and mind-boggling experience. The movie will stay with your for days, weeks, months, and years after you’ve seen it. It’s that good.

7. Steins;Gate

Steins;Gate

While Okabe, Mayuri, and Daru of the Future Gadget Research Laboratory are constantly coming up with new future gadgets, who would have guessed they’d be holding a device that can tamper with time and modify current events in real-time? With its “Phone Microwave” technology, it’s possible to send messages back in time. However, the employment of this tool can lead to dangerous interactions. Now that the Phone Microwave has been discovered by a wicked group, Okabe, Mayuri, and Daru must work together to make the most of its capabilities while also preventing it from falling into the wrong hands.

In the same way that the title of Mirai Nikki means “Future Diary” in English, Steins;Gate is about changing the course of history by using information that has already been discovered. Whoa, now that’s something to get excited about! Not because the future is no longer a mystery in any of these series, but rather because these two shows are fascinating in and of themselves. You won’t run out of these elements in Steins;Gate, and you’ll find a lot more of them.
