David Atkins Enterprises

David Atkins Enterprises (DAE) is one of the world's Premiere Event & Production companies. Headed by David Atkins OAM, DAE has been producing musicals, arena events and live productions across Australia, Asia, America, Europe and now the Middle East for over 20 years. Honoured in 2003's Queen's birthday list with an OAM for services to the entertainment industry, David Atkins is one of Australia's most awarded and highly recognised Producers and Director/Choreographers.

One of the company's most significant arena event was producing the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the creation and management of the Sydney Harbour and Regional Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony Fireworks Spectacular. Juan Antonio Samaranch, the President of the International Olympic Committee, announced that these were "the best ever" games, and presented David with a Gold Olympic pin in honour of his work.

DAE also produced the Melbourne 2006 Handover Ceremony in Manchester and consulted on Athens 2004 Olympics. Most recently, DAE is proud to have been awarded the contract to produce and direct the Opening & Closing Ceremonies of the 15th Asian Games in Doha, Qatar in December 2006.

DAE has also had major experience in the creation and development of events and live productions. From the creation of pre-show entertainment for the Sydney Rugby League Grand finals to the 1988 Bi-Centennial Military Tattoo; from launching Qantas 747 jumbo jets and uniform launches to producing and staging Australia's premier television event, the TV Week Logie Awards on four separate occasions, DAE's list of event and live production credits are both numerous and impressive.

DAE has produced and directed over 20 major theatrical productions and tours, including Chicago - the Musical (in both Australia and Asia), the highly successful Australian and Asian tours of Singin' in the Rain, Hot Shoe Shuffle (both in Australia and internationally), The Full Monty, the Australasian production of the Bee Gees' West End and Broadway hit musical Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Hair, Little Shop of Horrors and Fame - the Musical. DAE also produced and directed The Man From Snowy River - Arena Spectacular. At the end of 2003, DAE brought Santa's Kingdom to Australia for it's premier Christmas season, with David Atkins both Directing and Co-Producing this magical event.
